Round: HR Interview
Experience: After 4 months, I got a mail from my college placement cell that there will be an off campus drive of Rofous Software on 31st Oct 2011. This time I mentally prepared myself that I will surely crack the selection. I prepared a JAM topic before a day of selection. This time there were nearly 80 students. We were divided into two batches, 40 members in one class room and another 40 members in another room. As I already knew, JAM was the 1st session, HR asked anyone of us can start the topic, I got up after 4 people and spoke about positive attitude and its importance. After all the students finished with the session, HR announced the names of the students who are through JAM. As I expected my name was the 1st in the list. 24 students cleared the 1st round. A written test was conducted for selected students. 1st section was GK, 2nd section comprehensive reading, 3rd section was grammar, 4th section was critical reasoning and final section was an essay writing. Essay writing topic was different for each of the student. I was given the topic "Education System in India". In 1 hour written test was completed. I did it well. We were asked to gather at the same room after 1 hour.
After 1 hour all the 24 students gathered in the room. They announced the results, 10 students were selected for the Personal Interview and I was one among that 10 students. In personal interview the first question was as expected 1. Tell me about yourself?
Answer: I told about my interests, my experiences working at world badminton championship and so on.
2. Your are from ECE stream, then why do you want to come to software stream?
Answer: Actually I'm not interested in ECE Sir, (Q: Then why did you choose it?) I was not aware of the options that were available in b.tech so… but I can adjust to this stream quickly..
3. Are you ready to work in night shifts?
Answer: Yes Sir, I'm ready to work.
He asked me to wait for 30 minutes. After some time they announced that I'm one among the selected four candidates.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - ADP should assess the behavior and approach of its hiring team, particularly the HIRING MANAGER conducting interviews. It's unprofessional when managers, sitting behind the camera, display an attitude suggesting they possess complete knowledge of every company and its working concepts. This not only reflects IRRELEVANCE but also undermines the credibility of the hiring process. Additionally, behaviors such as sarcastic smiles when a candidate fumbles demonstrate UNETHICAL and critical conduct. Judging candidates solely based on a two-page resume further highlights a FLAWED approach, which can negatively impact the company’s REPUTATION and VALUES.
The unfortunate reality is that even while working with INTERNATIONAL BRANDS and COMPANIES, people (HR AND UPPER-LEVEL MANAGEMENT) still exhibit an INDIAN NARROW and DOMINATING MINDSET, which is very disappointing. They ask us to THINK OUT OF THE BOX but are unwilling to be BROAD-MINDED themselves, continuing to judge people solely on the basis of a two-page resume.
