To reduce lv in LVM, use lvreduce command with appropriate options.
Unmount the file system on the logical volume to be reduced.
Use lvreduce command with appropriate options to reduce the size of logical volume.
Resize the file system on the logical volume to match the new size of the logical volume.
Remount the file system on the logical volume.
Example: lvreduce -L -2G /dev/vg01/lvol1
