Topics to prepare for Melvic Constructions Executive Accountant interview:
  • Don't join if u want success
Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Melvic is an Australian company and they prefer MNCs employees and company will say the shift is for 9hrs and if you extend more than half an hour you will get OT but reality is they will force you to extend shift for 2-3hrs and when u will ask for OT then HR will say that ot will spoil ur image. There is no public holidays also, staff is really not cooperative. I regret to say that i left an MNC for this cheap company. I worked here for one month with no salary and no training.
The worst experience in melvic.

3 Interview Rounds

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: There were two rounds all together.1) First round was an online round. It has three divisions: i) Aptitude – 10 questions 30 mins 5 questions were of seating arrangements, 1 question in time and work, 1 Q in number series , other two i don’t remember. Around 7 to 8 questions are easily solvable.ii) Reasoning – 30 questions 40 mins5 Questions in Data interpretation (easy) , around 3 in Syllogism ( unexpected format of syllogism), Datasufficiency, and some more puzzle and logical questions. This section is again easy to clear.iii) Verbal – 40 questions 35 minsTwo passages, 5 questions in each ( bit time taking). Fill in the blanks, sentence correction, Theme detection, etcThis part is little confusing. Start doing the passage comprehension lastly as they are time consuming. In case of passages, first read the questions once and remember the key words, then move to the passage and find for answers. Over all aptitude and reasoning are easy but verbal is little confusing because mostly all the choices seems to be correct.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: 2) Second round was face to face. In this you may get technical questions or general questions or both, thusdepends on the HR. As I went inside, greeted the HR and he asked me to take my seat. Hr asked me to tell about myself. While I was describing, he stopped in between and asked how I’m managing with my long distance travel. Explained and continued telling about myself. I explained about my Mini projects. He was impressed with that and asked some questions in it. Then explained about my final year project and again he asked some details about my project. I was asked to draw the flow chart of my project. Asked about some software life cycle models and differenceamong each and then asked to explain the life cycle I used in my project. Explained. I was asked to write a SQL query.  Then asked about java , c and C++.  He asked how I managed doing all my mini projects in spite of long distance travel. Explained and he was impressed. At last he asked whether I have any questions. I asked him whether Infosys is working on mobile development and if not what are the other technologies. Hr explained. He also explained about his work. Since I know little bit about it I managed responding him with some questions related to his explanation. Then he said thank you and I too thanked and left the room. He was more experienced and polite. He was keen about mycommunication. I was not much nervous because the Interview was more like a conversation you can have with a knowledgeable person than like an interview. So I was comfortable enough to manage.  Key to clear Infosys HR round is communication and confidence.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: After the presentation there was a written test, and we were divided into different batches. The test included Mathematics and reasonable skills. I found it not difficult and finished it on time. There were negative marks, as I remember now. There weren’t many questions; I remember that it was 50 or less. I passed the test and was called to move in to the other classroom where some people were waiting for the other round of interview. By that time the crowd had dwindled, as many couldn’t make it up in the first round. Second round was a written test again and it was completely English and comprehension. I was a bit worried about the comprehension part thought I felt the Grammar part was manageable. I did well in that too and was asked to move to the other classroom for the next round. It was funny to see people running from here and there as their names were called.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Third round of interview was a technical round and hearing that I was scared. I didn’t have any kind of technical knowledge in Systems. My fellows there told me that technical is going to be something related to hardware and I became hopeless as there was no chance of me passing in it. I did have nothing else to do other than praying. I started calling all the Gods and Jesus and prayed to give me the sense to pass on that test. I got around an hour before the technical round, and I had spent whole that time in praying only. I sit for the technical round. The questions were all simpler as I recall now. There were questions related to “System Restore’, ‘Windows XP’ etc. I knew half the answers for each questions and it was difficult for me. I waited for the results and when it came fortunately my name was there and I thanked God for giving me that opportunity.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: I was called for the next round of interview which was telephonic round. The question was very obvious, “Speak about your favourite topic or any movies that you like”. I chose to speak about some Hindi movie which I saw recently. I was sure of cracking that round as I am confident of my language and communication skills. After that I was asked to move to another room, where some people were waiting. I asked a girl what is going to happen next, she told me that there is another round of telephonic interview. The Wipro HR guy came to me and asked whether I am comfortable to attend the call right now, and I said yes. He handed the cell phone to me and I was happy to hear the sweet female voice on the other end. This round was more interactive when comparing with the other telephonic interview I had ever attended. The interesting question I still remember, is “Sreenath, if God came and asked you to ask three things, what all will be those that you would want?” I made a pause, as this was quite unexpected question, thought and answered “A good family, a good profile well paid job and a good house”. She was impressed as I was! She didn’t hesitate to tell me that, it was the first time she got such an answer other than the usual money, car stuff. She asked me to hand over the phone to the HR guy, and I was asked to wait outside. I waited for almost an hour and then I was called for HR interview. I was so hungry by that time but didn’t prefer to go for lunch as I wanted to just finish the interview. My HR round was nice as he didn’t trouble me much with my previous experience as that was something I was worried about. He as so friendly that he told me that you have got good sores in all the other rounds and we will hope for the best. I was convinced by his words and was more than happy. After 5 minutes, one of the other HR came out and congratulated me for getting selected. I was happy but not excited.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: I had given forms by the HR to fill my personal details and told me that your selection will be confirmed via email. They also told me that they would dispatch my offer letter, if selected to my home address. I left the place evening 5. By that time, my other two friends came out of the hall as they had just finished their technical round. They couldn’t make it through but they were not sad as they had already reserved seats for management course in some colleges, outside Kerala.
As I told in the beginning, I attended the Wipro for keeping options open. But, there was some confusion from TechM side and I had to undergo three more telephonic rounds and had to extend my vacation to a month from a week. I requested my friend working in TechM to just make a direct enquiry about my employment and he was helpful enough. When he went to the HR to check, coincidentally the HR was working on my file and he informed my friend that I am confirmed with TechM. As he informed this to me, my next confusion was to choose between the companies. Wipro and Tech Mahindra held almost same aspects and brand values. The salary was not that different. There were bond in both the companies but as Wipro had a huge caution amount to deposit before joining, I chose TechM as my future company. Also, it was happy to go back to the place where I was for two years. Later, I got email from Wipro that I am not able to apply to Wipro anymore as I had rejected their offer. That was unfortunate to such a company but I was happy that I am with TechM.
This was my experience with Wipro Technologies, in which I learnt a lot of things. I experienced the power of praying, strength of being confident and the advantage of good communication skill. It was these three factors that helped me to grab that opportunity.
Any kind of comments are welcome as I would like to know what do you feel after hearing my experince.I wish everyone a great success in interviews and in your career.
Thank you,
Sreenath.
