Round 2 - HR

(1 Question)

  • Q1. WALKED OUT ON ME WITHOUT ANY REASON AND PRIOR INFORMATION.

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Long story short - UNPROFESSIONALISM AT ITS BEST. I never attended any interview for this company BECAUSE they never called me for the same after mailing me to be ready for the interview.
And now the long story,
So Basically I came across this company through an online job portal app.
Now, it was me who texted to job poster on app out of interest and then I was asked for the resume, I submitted it and so on till I get the email stating that I have been shortlisted for the phone interview and to expect a call next day anytime between 3pm to 6pm.
I postponed my plans for the day and waited, waited and waited. After around 6.30 I called on the HR's number provided in email - the call wasn't picked up.
Next day I called again 4-5 times throughout the day, and now I was expecting this only - call wasn't picked up and was disconnected from the other side a couple times. I also replied to the mail regarding this. After calling again I finally received an SMS from the HR - "I'll call you back", to which I promptly replied that I will wait for her call and also reminded her of the mail I sent.
Next day waited till noon and then called 2-3 times. No reply for hours. And then After a call or two and a reminder SMS She replied with an SMS that she's been busy with back to back zoom meetings for straight 2 days and was still sitting through one and she's sorry for not informing me that the position is closed as they Hired the candidate that day only. After 2 days of not answering any of my calls and not replying to any of my mails all she could come up was this BEING TOO MUCH BUSY reason. Se got so busy with her other responsibilities that she decided to keep me waiting and clueless. Isn't it HR's responsibility to inform the candidate of any cancellation of interview, postponement or interview result IN DUE TIME and not make the candidate wait and postpone his other tasks for the ALREADY HIRED FOR AND CANCELLED INTERVIEW.
So, that's my interview experience with "Consortium Gifts". I am not really sure of the work culture there but this experience definitely did give me glimpse of it.
