Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Written test- both aptitude and the core subjects. In Core subject 50 Questions 30 minutes. In Aptitude 30 Questions in 30 minutes. The level of aptitude would be average but the core paper dealt with a lot of basics. For electrical people, a lot of questions were from transformer and induction machine, synchronous machine, Power system, Power electronics basics, Power plant engineering, and switchgear & protection devices. Thirteen people from EEE had appeared for the test

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: They basically look for two qualities, first you have knowledge of the core subjects and second that you would stick with the company at least for some years.

Skill Tips: Try to stick to the core and basically Transformer and machines, switchgear and protection, do not go towards the other subjects of interests as they are not looking for that profile. Be calm, they might look a bit serious people, but they make you very comfortable during interview.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The cgpa criteria was 6.0 .Around 70 people were giving the test from instrumentation background. In this round 50 questions were of quant and 50 questions were tecnical. so i prepared for some core subjects like industrial instrumentation, process dynamics, control systems, some questions were from thermodynamics.. basic questions from sensors and signal conditioning and measurements.. Quant covers the chapters of train problems, time and distance, time and work, SI , profit and loss , percentage, averages, age problems, boats and streams, log questions, Mixture problems, ratio and proportion, partnership probl, perm and comb , prob.Actually during the test they mainly focus on quant section. For preparing the results of the first round Quant section is considered more than the tecnical section . They shortlisted 21 students from instrumentation branch. After this was an interview round.
Tips: Prepare for quant and tecnical part well

He greeted me well and asked me to take a chair. He then asked me to tell about my family. I told about it. Then he started asking that why i took instrumentation and not any other branch. He then asked about my college activities. Then he started asking me tecnical instrumentation questions like if we want to measure this part which sensor we will use or what instrument we will use here. He then named some sensors and asked me the principle behind it. He also asked about my 2 months training in schneider. The interview went for 20-25 mins . After that we waited for the result. They took 5 people and offer letter was given the very next day in the morning.
