Interview Preparation Tips

Round: INTERview
Experience: Interview for Engineer Profile, and then was redirected for Data Scientist Profile

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Interview for Engineer Profile, and then was redirected for Data Scientist Profile
My interview of “Data Scientist” profile went nice but was slight uncomfortable at giving answers to the puzzle questions at the end of the interview.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Final HR round went very smoothly and was a fun.
It was always a surprise for me as I was getting short listed. In the end of the HR interview when I was asked if I had any questions, I just said that I in the very beginning made a clear mention that I want to pursue research career ahead and so would go for higher studies as well. I am grateful that you have short listed me for final round but if get an offer from you then I will give you the confirmation only in March end as this is the time when the result for PhD admission will come. Also if I go for a PhD then it would seem to be that I have taken away the position which someone could have got if placed. They had a simple reply that they hire on the basis of quality. I had research which was completely unique and may be no one(students) in India does it and this made me a bit special on national scale(which is my guess ). They liked my frank and honest way of dealing. And they had a clear mind that if they were not selecting me for that profile then they were selecting no one, and thus I didn’t have any replacement. They said that wherever I go, I should spend at least an year there, where again I poked that the confirmation I can give only in March end, to which they had no issues.

General Tips: Be honest, have a preparation of what you have written in your resume, at least consult a senior that which profile suits you the most based on your resume. There is no such compulsion of giving your interview only in English, give your interview in whichever language you are comfortable with, combination of 2 languages is also allowed.
