Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - The CEO lacked professionalism. He didn't show up for the interview and kept me waiting.
Second time, he was yawning during the interview which was quite insulting.
The questions asked were very irrelevant and he seemed to have questioned my personal choices.
I got a glimpse from this how the culture would be.
Later, the company ghosted and there was no show of results although I wasn't going to join after such behaviour.

I applied via Company Website and was interviewed in Nov 2018. There were 4 interview rounds.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Tech plus Apti & Reasoning

General Tips: The interview process was crucial, & the hr lacked skills to shortlist the candidate for that profile. It seems the company needs slaves as they were not relevant with candidates skills after conducting the interview & also no information to the candidate was given for final selection.
As mentioned in application form the candidate must be fluent, I had answered all the questions but the interviewers itself didnt had the clarity.
My advice is that after first round itself ask for ctc, search for google reviews if not then take your decision itself before going for last round
Overall I can say that the startup market is worst in India so dont waste of your time especially for the candidates with higher degrees like Masters & Phd, instead of it go for teaching job or prepare for government job instead of working as a slave in pvt startup, for instance a peon & clerk can save much more than a guy working in a startup

Interview Tips & Stories

Why are women still asked such personal questions in interview?
I recently went for an interview… and honestly, m still trying to process what just happened. Instead of being asked about my skills, experience, or how I could add value to the company… the questions took a totally unexpected turn. The interviewer started asking things like When are you getting married? Are you engaged? And m sure, if I had said I was married, the next question would’ve been How long have you been married? What does my personal life have to do with the job m applying for? This is where I felt the gender discrimination hit hard. These types of questions are so casually thrown at women during interviews but are they ever asked to men? No one asks male candidates if they’re planning a wedding or how old their kids are. So why is it okay to ask women? Can we please stop normalising this kind of behaviour in interviews? Our careers shouldn’t be judged by our relationship status. Period.
