Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Common test for both profiles (IT and Investment Banking). Practise for programming questions if are not at all into coding. Rest all will be standard 'AMCAT' questions
Tips: Don't panic just by looking at programming questions. Some of them were easy and only required common sense to find out output of some given code.
Duration: 75 minutes minutes

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: CPI may play a role. You may have an edge if you have mentioned some projects and courses related to finance. The initial shortlist is very rational and unbaised; mainly based on test (they provided detailed analysis of our test performance, so the process of shortlisting was totally based on merit).
Tips: Apply for investment banking if you want to work in finance. Do *not* apply for IT profile if you don't want to code. That doesn't mean that IT profile is not good (compensation is the same and if you like to code it's a good work profile). If you apply for both; you will be interviewed for both the profiles.
They allowed walk-in interviews as well; so even if you were not shortlisted earlier, go there and ask to the SPO guys for walk-ins.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There were 2 rounds for each profiles. I was interviewed twice for IT profile and only once for investment banking profile.
Questions will be asked on finance. If you have mentioned some finance/economics related project or course; be prepared to explain it.
I was also asked a puzzle (standard one).
Tips: Read about finance (basic level concepts); but be ready to be grilled more if you give correct answers to easy questions.

Round: Group Activity
Experience: 7 guys were shorlisted for the final selection. They gave us three rapid fire GDs back to back.
Topics- 1. Android vs ios | 2. Five things you'll need to survive in a jungle for 1 month | 3. How to prevent another Lehmann brothers like disaster?

Tips: Be confident. Don't try to create a fish market and chaos. I think they ultimately look for sense in the points you make.

General Tips: Show them that you're fascinated by finance and "want a career, not a job" attitude. Interviewers were very friendly so even if you get stuck, don't panic. He'll rescue you out.
Skills: Verbal Communication Skills, Logical Puzzles, Finance
College Name: IIT Kanpur
Motivation: Sheer interest in Investment Banking
