Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - tl;dr;
HR lowballed and ghosted me.

HR conducted the first round, I had notified that I needed a 30% hike at least. He went ahead with the candidature, I went through 2 technical rounds.
Before the final culture fit round, he came up with a number which was less than 10%

Having wasted so much time I went to culture fit round with Nishtha to understand the company better. Meanwhile was able to secure an offer of 30% from elsewhere. HR promised to come back with changes but never did. Later, he even did not pick up the call.

Advice:
Respect the candidate's time.
If you don't have the budget as per their expectation, please avoid wasting their time. Changing the offering amount in the final stages makes no sense tbh.
Please be professional. This only puts a dent in the company's reputation as you are front-facing people.
