Ans. My polite response was non negotiable value of protecting my existing package. I was not demanding any increments as I wanted to accept the new role with a positive intend of value addition for the Function & Company at large.

Q5. Then came the real goggly. MD proposed a CEO role & ED wanted my reaction.
Ans. Again with lot of calm & openness I accepted that I was not really expecting this offer. Tough I dreamt of donning the CEO cap some day, this was not the day.

Ans. I agreed to give it a serious thought & consult my peers from Industry. We agreed to keep decision open till the second round at Plant in couple of days.

Immediately after 2 days, we travelled together to our Plant. MD & ED walked me through the developments since conceptualization of the Plant. I was quite familiar by the time we reached Plant. we had a quick facility tour & introductions with key teammates.
draft HR & Operations SOP's were quickly reviewed for basic ratifications & time bound commitments for sign off.
Flood Insurance claim pending since a year was lined up for instant review thru contacts on speed track.
Identification of Equity partner and on boarding was accepted on top priority.
Presentation on Business strategy & Budgeting was principally acknowledged by core Management

Q1. Same evening at Plant, MD & ED insisting me to accept the CEO role.
Ans. I admitted that my limited academic knowledge with zero practical experience is a deterrent. I proposed to join as a Chief Peoples Officer & take on CEO role un announced. Review after a quarter on CEO performance against KRA.
