Interview Preparation Tips
Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - During interview, Recruiter and Hr just ask if you have laptop and broadband.
But the thing is they will hide many things from you like during training they will ask you to arrange extra phone and sim card, and you have to bear all the expenses like mobile and internet recharge and electricity bill.
Plus it was a contract job and they did not disclose this during interview. They will tell you that we informed you earlier about this.
Salary is too low as per the work load.
Don't even get time to breathe and there are no employee value.Your trainer and Tl will treat you like hell.
There is no personal life after working in Teleperformance.
There are no breaks, you have to ask like a student if you want to go to loo also.
This was the worst experience of my life.
Round: Test Experience: There were primarily two sections.General quant and english skills. Passages in english sections were quite long. Quant mostly consisted of DI type of questns. The difficulty level was that of CAT level. Tips: Any CAT book is sufficient enough to practice. Duration: 140 minutes
Round: HR Interview Experience: They asked mostly general questions like describing yourself and about your family background. They might ask you to speak on any topic for a few minutes. I loved the interview. It was for about 15 mins. They tried to stress me a bit by pointing out my CGPA and etc but i could counter them. Tips: Basically I believe they check out your communication skills. And they might demotivate you by citing many other opportunities. Just stay focussed under any situation. Know your resume well if you face the panel. Don't just write anything or copy paste..control your nerves in the interview and i am sure you will succeed.
Skill Tips: If you really want to join this company then after clearing the apti just stay focused at the interview and show them that you are determined to join infosys. This is a good company for low scoring students. ALL THE BEST!!! College Name: NIT WARANGAL
Round: Resume Shortlist Experience: CPI based shortlisting. Around 6-7 people from MME with CPI > 7.9 were shortlisted.
Round: Interview (Telephonic) Experience: Duration: 10-15 minutes Questions : 1. Name 2. Resume Based Questions 3. Internships and projects 4. Technical Questions 5. Favorite Subject and questions on that 6. BTP
General Tips: 1. Choose which subject you will say as your favorite and prepare that thoroughly. 2. Read Proforma of company and prepare accordingly. 3. It is most secure if you can direct the interviewer to ask questions about your internships and projects, because that is something you know better than him/her. 4. Prepare puzzles etc. generally asked in interviews. 5. Keep a Positive Attitude in general. Have an attitude of “I don’t need the company, the company needs me”. Skill Tips: This company basically needed only 1 MME student was selected - who did both his interns and projects in ‘Modeling and Simulation’. Skills: Thermodynamics of Materials, Characterization, Manufacturing Processes , College Name: IIT- Kanpur
Round: Test Experience: aptitude were from RS Aggrawal(Simple maths and anlytical (figure based)).In English two passage and correct/incorrect sentences. Duration: 105 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: Since there are different panel members,to some students they asked some simple c/c++ basic questions and to some non technical .
Round: HR Interview Experience: Questions like where are you from, tell me about yourself , there are many bulk companies why you choose cognizant, your future plan. Tips: In all these questions be confident.
Skill Tips: Prepare aptitude from R.S.Aggrawal it is easy. English was tough ,it has very long two passages.so first avoid this because if u try this you wont get time in remaining questions .At last if time permits attempt that. ALL the best. College Name: NIT WARANGAL
Round: Resume Shortlist Experience: I've gone through some model resumes available in freshersworld.com.
Round: Test Experience: There were three rounds- Written, Technical & HR Out of 100 students 20 students are selected for Tech & HR round after written test. But finally 7 students were made final offers.
Round: HR Interview Experience: In interview they asked- what do u mean by quality, array, pointer, data structures etc . Hr questions, they asked (i) why u r interested in joining our company this is a standard question.. (ii)Why u r leaving ur core branch and joining software company, r u doing any justice to ur studies?? (iii) Since I was married, in most of the HR rounds they are a bit cynical, my advice to married people, if u r prompted to tell abt ur maritial status, then tell otherwise not. Tips: HR Questions- I've gone through the last year BE PREPARED document. Puzzles- R.S Agarwal Technical- For Core subjects not needed but for software companies strong language skills are important.
General Tips: My preparation for software companies was not up to the mark. My advice to the M.Tech students with Science backgrounds are (i) Please do not expect a core company to hire you .Software companies are the only choice (ii) Hence prepare well in advance the following topics this was not known to me (a) STRONG C & C++ LANGUAGE SKILLS (b) EMPHASIS ON DATA STRUCTURES --- linked lists, trees, queue, post-order traversal, pre-order traversal. College Name: IIT BOMBAY
Round: Test Experience: CAT type questions on maths and English. Speed matters. Preparation for CAT helps, I did not sit for CAT but I went through is DI material before the test to increase my speed. Questions in general are easy. Conduct yourself professionally. Deloitte decides to allot you a profile depending on your score in this test most probably. So make sure you do well in this test. I think the highest scoring candidates are shortlisted for the S&O profile, though I am not sure about it. Tips: If you are up for a career in management consulting and can't possibly be shortlisted by Mckinsey or BCG, this is your golden opportunity. You have to do well in the test for it. Deloitte is one of the best places in the world for management consulting after MBB firms and I believe some people might have gotten selected for this profile just because they did well in this test (by fair or unfair means!!)
Round: Group Discussion Experience: You are given a case. Your group of 10 has to find a solution for a client. The process lasts for about 30 minutes. The key is staying calm and composed and not disputing and challenging others violently! At the end you are supposed to give a presentation on the problem and it solution, 5 minutes for each member. Tips: Speak less rather than speaking trash. Introduce yourself first when asked to give your part of the presentation and behave professionally, they check more on your professional behavior than the effectiveness of your solution. 50 % of the students passing this round generally make it to the offer. Hence this is the most important round. If you have done very well in this round you will probably do well in the PI.
Round: Behavorial Interview Experience: Behavioral questions base on your resume. I had networked a bit with my interviewer before the interview because both of us were waiting to enter the interview room and it felt awkward not talking to him. I think that might have helped.
Dont go for a technology profile hoping you will get to enter the management consulting space some day. Technology consulting is a good career choice only if you are passionate about it, or else it is a disaster, since the only exit route is an MBA application. Dont go without reading about the company, it was a big source of worry for me Tips: Answer the questions diplomatically. Appearing confident helps. I kept a smiling face no matter how tensed I was, that might help. Know all the points in your resume and prepare to answer all behavioral questions you can possibly think of. Have some questions to ask at the end of the interview.
General Tips: Its good if you have some extra academic involvement to have some discussion points during your PI. Or when you are asked about an achievement you are very proud of. Skill Tips: I felt the company loves to hire calm and professional people who can articulate themselves properly. And do well in the written test if you want a profile of your choice. Deloitte is probably the only company to be able to compete with the likes of Mckinsey in management consulting and IBM in technology, at the same time. No doubt, it is a great brand name to work with. It is highly rated in both the fields. Strategy and Operations is a very good career if you are looking for management consulting, they have a program to train and sponsor you for the best B-Schools in the world. The technology profiles are good if you are passionate about technology and its integration. So be careful about your choices. College Name: IIT Kharagpur
