Stoa apparently went from "changing the education game" to "game over" for most of its staff!
Heard they laid off a whopping 90%, leaving only a skeleton crew of 7 (including 4 co-founders). Seems their dream of disrupting the MBA space with an alternative program hit a snag – couldn't place enough students, leading to a messy situation.
Looks like they're scrambling to pivot now, copying the Coursera self-paced course model.
But is it too late? 🤔
