I’m in my final semester of engineering—exams are over, results awaited. My CGPA may be below 7, as I struggled in the first five semesters. But from the 6th semester onward, data-related subjects sparked my interest. I worked hard, scored 8 CGPA in the 6th, and expect 7.5+ in the 7th. This shift gave me clarity and purpose. I enrolled in a structured AI & Data Science course from a reputed institute in Bulgaria, where I studied Python, Pandas, Statistics, Probability, and frameworks like LangChain. While I’ve built a decent theoretical base, I’m still confused about the real-world side of things: What roles fit my skills? What projects or tasks do entry-level professionals handle? What does a typical day look like? How do I bridge the gap between learning and doing? I’m passionate and ready to work hard, but I need direction—on building a portfolio, choosing the right specialization, and becoming industry-ready. Any guidance would mean a lot to me.

Messed up my Interview at Amazon. Can't stop thinking about it.
After trying so many times finally had this huge opportunity and I messed up so badly. It was for a Business Analyst role. I just went blank on the Live SQL Query test and kept on doing silliest mistakes. Could only answer 3 questions properly; for other questions Interviewer was not satisfied.
I just feel Average. These Reputed product-based Companies are way out of my league.

So I cleared the SQL assessment and got a call for 1st Interview round after the screening call. A Business Analyst 2 person will be taking this first round. What can I expect from this round? What should I practice? Has anyone gone through a similar process?

I am currently working as a Senior Software Engineer in Platform team at a product based b2b company. This is my first company, I joined here as a campus hire. I will complete 4yrs here in June 2025. I gave CAT in 2024, and I have received a mail from IIM indore saying I am shortlisted for MSDSM based on my CAT percentile.
This is a 2 yrs online program (fees 14 lakhs) for working professionals, and offers a regular MS degree.

I recently cleared an interview with capegemini for BA role (C2H).I have informed the recutire that I will be immediately able after 23 rd april once by Pip is complete.they are continuosly forcing me to provide an email confirmation but my manager has only verbally assured me and is hesitant to send email...what should i do in this position?? After 1.8 years as a Data Engineer in a product-based company, I've received an offer for a Decision Science role focused on CDP at a service-based firm.
Current Position:
CTC: ₹11.3 LPA (₹8.9 LPA fixed + ₹2.4 LPA variable). Current location is far from my hometown.
Offer Details:
CTC: ₹13.3 LPA (fully fixed)
Joining Bonus: ₹2.6 LPA (to be returned if leaving within a year)
Variable Pay: 0–21% annually
While the new role offers a higher salary, I'm uncertain about transitioning into Decision Science. Data Engineering aligns more with my skills and offers broader opportunities.

HR asked me to resign with just 10 days of notice period
Hi I'm a commerce graduate, got into IT via a data science course. I'm on a third party payroll working for a bank as a data quality engineer and my package was 3.8lpa fixed+variable. Recently as the financial year is coming to an end, my HR asked me to resign stating me to be incompetent and that the project was revoked from them. Did my research with the bank who I was working with and found that they are re-structuring and doing everything in house. My hr said no variable bonus will be paid as I've just completed 8 months and I needed to complete 1yr. How should I deal with this situation? Also I'm struggling to find a new job.... Any advise? Or openings?

Do I really need to go in Depth into ML?
I have executed/delivered previous ML/DS projects using the code generated by LLMs, my own project schema and debugging skills. But right now Vibe Coding is taking over the market, in which- what or how you coded doesn't matter. The only concerns are- whether you could deliver and how fast you could deliver!
So besides the knowledge of the fundamentals and debugging skills, do I really need to go in-depth into the field of ML/DS techniques? (Considering the fact that I am not aiming for R&D)

I’m working as a qa want to change my domain want to go to as Data analyst or scientist role, planning to do a course which cost 2L , with career guidance. Any DA or DS what is your opinion on it.
