Hello, I'm a data engineer with 4.3 LPA and 3.2 years of total experience working as an Ab initio developer at my present firm. Right now, I really need to switch, but I'm having trouble doing so because I'm not getting enough interviews for Ab initio development. Could someone kindly tell me if learning ab initio alone would help me succeed, if I need to add anything else, if I should alter my designation to ETL DEVELOPER, and what technologies I need to learn for that specific role? I've been stuck on this LPA for the last 2 years.

Hi, I have been working in a reputed Product based Company (office in Mumbai) for a year (1.5 if we include my internship time) & my compensation is 5.5lpa During my performance review I want to ask for an 8.4 lpa package i.e. +50% hike. I feel it's fair because all the projects I have worked on have been appreciated well & helped in moving the business needle & unlike other employees I put additional efforts, studies & some extra steps to offer a solution to the business problems. Skill Set - Tableau, Python, Sql, Stats, GA4.

Salary Expectation

Hello, I'm getting into a salary discussion with D. E. Shaw India for position Manager - Data & Analytics. 10 yoe, 7 of which is in Finance at Deloitte and 3 yrs of Data Analytics & Automation at Unilever. Current comp is 34.5 lpa (29.3 fixed). Also, my bonus and hike is due at UL in March. Expecting over 4 lacs in bonus that I'd want to factor in. Top performer. And for this role l'll have to relocate from BLR to HYD. What should be my ask? TIA.

How about joining in Yash technologies for around 7 lpa for 3 years of experience for a 90 days notice however they said they can increase the offer upto 9 If I can able to join within 10 days.. as I'm currently on bench in my present company. However I'm here to take suggestions as entering into a new company is giving me a bit of anxiety. Suggestions are welcome

I have done post graduation in accountancy even though my tirelessly efforts to get an accounts or finance job i never got one i use to work as a freelancer for a market research startup after my completion of pg they offered me a job as a research associate and i have also done a course for data analytics which give me intermediate level of understanding which got me this job it been a year since i am working and now i am been hired by another company in there data operations so is it good should i go on as this is completely different path to what i studied for. my communication is good and been honed i am inclined to tech and tools more because of the course i took so i am confused as my joining for the company B is end of this month i wanted to work in to Finance but most of the time it low pay intership and exploiting small firms were hiring so sho should o do any course and also i have opted for a online intership in finance. Current he is working a analyst in a fintech company and he is using Salesforce as a CRM tool and he found some intrest in SF report and DB generation, basically into SF analytics. And he wish to become a SF Business Analyst. But he is worried about his switch because 1. Openings are minimum 2.Most of the jobs are asking for exp ppl 3. I manage an understaffed analytics team competing with IT, pressured to outperform with no operational support. My manager, from a different background, often blocks my ideas, causing delays and stress. His unclear vision, combined with limited support, makes me consider leaving. Building a competitive analytics team in 2024 requires significant investment and operational support, which I lack entirely. The constant pressure and lack of support are overwhelming. I initially wanted to start my career as a IBM's qiskit simulation devops or something related to that field I was curious to know what the other end of the string holds . But during my college days I specialized in cyber security(cs), cyber forensics(cf) and data analytics(da). I lost my touch but never my interest also though I'm good with cs it was exhausting to really give my all just to try and penetrate get the data , so why not work with data directly instead of waiting hours to get data and extract them, then came the choice of data scientist.
