You know what I hate about India-Startup with all my heart - The "Work hard, play hard" mentality.
They'll suck you in with fancy "office perks" like lunches and pool table but in my experience of 4 years working for start-up, I've never got a chance to enjoy there "perks". The work load is too damn much!
They sure are a great place to learn but you pay the fees in terms of burn-out and stress.

Most of the unicorns đĻ look from top to bottom .
They go for problems which doesn't even exist.
Instead of solving they create newer ones. Ex. Byjus.
We need founders with bottom to top approach like fix problems which exist at core and then build on top.
Ex postman, Zoho, mmt, zerodha, grow etc!

If you're going to join an Indian start-up, I would highly suggest you study their revenue model and cash runway (basically the number of months the company can run with the amount of money they have). Also, see if they are swimming in debt.
Poor finances are very common nowadays, leading to mass layoffs in the start-up ecosystem. And, they will make you work your đ off and can lay you off whenever you seem like a liability.

A Team Lead
7 years into my career, and it's been a rollercoaster.
QA for 3 years, MBA, sales at a startup, laid off in COVID, tried my own product for 2 years (200 users but no monetization), growth role in a startup for 1.5 years (fired for not meeting expectations), accepted a product role, got fired after a pivot.
Now, stuck in a job search for 6 months, scared of another firing. Don't want sales, too inexperienced for product roles. Feeling lost career-wise. Any genuine advice is appreciated! đ

Took a class on entrepreneurship where they talked about the "Perfect Launch Plan" for a business. Here are the 6 steps -
1. Market Validation
2. Create an interactive experience for audience
3. Build Anticipation
4. Deliver free value
5. Make a big announcement
6. Sell your stuff
What else can be done for a successful business launch in your opinion?
