It was organized in the evening. Monitoring was done by webcam and microphone. MCQ's based on aptitude, technical, @ SQL questions and 2 coding questions.

Firstly they asked me for some Linux command line functions. Then they went on SQL. Started from the basic questions by writing a code for creating a table for some values then moved ahead by asking some theoretical and asked me to write some SQL commands too. Then they asked me to write a function which returns whether 2 strings are anagrams or not. Then they asked me to explain everything which I know about oops. After that they asked me 2 simple puzzles.

Tip 1 : Practice leetcode. Majority of the test questions come directly from there.
Tip 2 : Don't just rote memorize the concepts. See their real life implementation too around you.
Tip 3 : Revise your projects also specially which you made in your 1st and 2nd year.
Tip 1 : First of all, choose a nice format. There shouldn't be many empty spaces and at the same time don't add everything in your resume and make it look messy and lengthy.
Tip 2 : Don't mention your certifications of online course which is done by everyone. Instead, make some projects based on that course and then add it in your resume.

The timing was from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, so it was quite convenient. The platform was good, the only problem I had was while attempting diagram based questions, as the interface was difficult to understand. The test had three types of questions- MCQ, subjective and diagram based. The major topics from which the question were asked were- sequential circuits(sequence detector), static timing analysis, digital design and computer architecture.

The timing for my interview was 9:30 pm and it went on for an hour. They asked me thorough questions from majorly two topics- CMOS and Digital System Design. Even if I was not able to answer certain questions,, they were happy to drop hints and then observed how I went further with the solution.
Tip 1 : MOST IMPORTANT- HAVE YOUR BASICS CLEAR! No amount of cross questioning should confuse you.
Tip 2 : Practise previous year GATE questions
Tip 3 : Have atleast a basic knowledge of any one of the hardware description languages- VERILOG or VHDL
Tip 1 : Be honest. Don't include an achievement/project that is not yours.
Tip 2 : Highlight your projects and do include an ongoing project if you have any.

This round was MCQ and coding round. 25 MCQs and one coding question were asked. MCQs were based on OS, DBMS, Aptitude and Data Structures.

This was a Data Structural round. Only one coding question was asked by the interviewer. The interviewer was very friendly. This round was very easy.

Coding Test. This round was held on TCS own platform. The same platform is used for TCS Codevita. There were two questions in this test.
1. This was an easy level question based on Math.
2. This was a medium level question based on string manipulation

Tip 1 : Be thorough with your basics - Data Structures and Algorithms, Pointers, DBMS,OOPS,OS etc.
Tip 2 : Practice Competitive Programming. Improve your programming skills. (Take data structures course from CN. That's enough for cracking any service based or product based company). Practice questions from Leetcode/Codechef/Codeforces.
Tip 3 : Be confident in your answers. You should not fumble while giving answers.
Tip 4: Also have a good practice on aptitude. Managing time during the test is also an important skill.
Tip 5: Have good projects on recent technologies(ML/Web D/Blockchain/Analytics etc). Have in depth knowledge about the project as the interviewer can go deep and can ask difficult questions on projects as well.
Tip 6: Start your preparation as early as possible and work on your communication skills as well.
Tip 1: Mention good projects.
Tip 2: Write the things about which you're 100% sure that you can answer questions from those things.
Tip 3: Do not try to go high profile by mentioning too many skills/projects/extra curriculars on resume.
