Round: Test Experience: Quantitative and reasoning questions were pretty easy. Technical questions were little tough but can be cracked with little preparation. Tips: Just basical intermediate knowledge is enough to answer them. Duration: 60 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: Two to three very basic questions regarding your favourite subject..even though you dont know the answer don't sit idle. Just say that you don't remember it exactly.
Round: HR Interview Experience: What you need to do is to give the interviewer the confidence that you can work anywhere in India without any problems. If needed show your proficiency in hindi.

Round: Test Experience: The written test was for 60 minutes comprising of three sections.Analytical section consisted of basic maths questions.Technical section had questions mainly from concrete technology, transportation engineering and structures.Verbal section had sentence completion questions. Duration: 60 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: Technical questions mainly from design of steel and concrete structures were asked.
Skill Tips: It is very easy to clear the written test.So the selection is mainly dependent on your interview performance.Be strong in the fundamentals of subjects like structures and soil mechanics.This company also check whether you are ready to work anywhere in India.So be frank and tell them whether you can or not. Round: Test Experience: TECHNICAL: Questions were asked mostly from Strength of materials,soil mechanics,design of concrete structures,design of steel structures.Questions were generally knowledge but in some of the cases calculation based questions were also there. ANALYTICALTime & Distance Time & Space Ratio & Mix Area & Volume Simple Interest.Go through R S aggarwal etc. Duration: 120 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: The duration of interview was 10 to 15 minutes. Mainly question were asked from the project and industrial training i did. Tips: They basically look for your confidence.
Round: HR Interview Experience: They had three criteria: 1. whether u know hindi. 2. if you were willing to work anywhere in India. 3. you are commited and confident and will not leave company.
Skill Tips: Be confident and be thorough with your subject. Don't get tensed at the time of interview.Be strong in your basics.Listen to the presentation carefully and then decide yourself whether to join the company or not.Don't be in two minds.If you think it suits you then assure the HR that you are very interested in the company and you want to work with the company in the near future. Round: Test Experience: There were 3 sections. Quant(20 question), verbal10 n tech 30. The paper was for an hour. Questions were mostly those you come across in gate book. Values of compressive strength n the likes were asked a couple of times. Duration: 60 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: Questions were mostly from transportation and concrete technology. They didnt stress on the design subjects like DCS n DSS. They asked me a couple of questions wrt to my summer training.
Skill Tips: Don't be nervous. Be calm and confident. Remember that they aren't really looking for someone who can quote the bible as such. Show them you have something to offer. Round: Test Experience: English and quant part was pretty easy technical was not tough but the options given were close. Tips: Read concrete technology and highway and transport engg. camber and all. That's enough. Duration: 120 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: Mostly they were focused on my summer internship which I've done in AFCONS infra. they asked me most of the questions from PSC. Later they started asking question from almost every subject simple questions just basics. Every one can answer such questions like types of foundations, initial final setting time etc.
Round: HR Interview Experience: The HR guy was very friendly and helpful. He started from the very basic question "tell me about yourself"? He even asked specifically like tell us about your personal details than your schooling and family background. Then he asked me if I am willing to work in any conditions and anywhere in the country and they might ask you why you took civil be ready with an appropriate answer. It was overall a great experience I was not nervous at any point because the panel members were very supporting. I didn't answer all the questions. Tips: Make sure what ever you say be confident about it and don't panic.
Skill Tips: Make sure you have a very good knowledge about the project or training you have undergone. Most of the questions will be asked from it. Act confident and even if you are nervous try smiling. It's not at all difficult so just don't worry at all this was my very 1st interview and i got through. Round: Technical Interview Experience: They ask me related to Self Compacting Concrete(SCC) (as i mentioned it during the HR). Just the general concepts.
Round: HR Interview Experience: It was a nice experience to wait for the result.Finally at the end of the day the patience was finally rewarded.

Round: Test Experience: Aptitude questions are on simple interest,compound interest,boat problems etc with a bit general aptitude of reasoning. verbal was easy with little grammar and synonyms and antonyms. technical was pure oral which consists of foundation,is codes,hydrology,soil mechanics. Most of which are to be remembered only but nothing to solve. Duration: 60 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: I was asked what was my favorite subject and was asked questions only in that.
Round: HR Interview Experience: Technical was normal as i answered only 2 of the questions they asked. HR was good as i was confident in answering them about myself. I was more than happy because I immediately received offer letter as i came out of interview room from hr.
Skill Tips: Be confidant in what ever you say. if you dont know or dont remember just dont say any wrong answer,rather say that i don't remember.they dont expect you to remember everything, as far as technical is concerned. concentrate more on psc and foundation. well if you are sitting for pure core companies like gammon,isi,ccc.l&t,adani etc better learn hindi,even though you dont know say confidently that you can understand and speak well in hindi. because most of their projects are in north india so they expect you to know hindi well.adani and gammon recruited people who can speak hindi apart from technical. Round: Test Experience: The aptitude question was easy only but the technical aptitude test require a great amount of Detailed study.The questions were mainly from civil engineering materials and concrete technology and a bitFrom survey. Duration: 60 minutes
Round: Technical Interview Experience: They asked about the foundation engineering and from the C.V. Mainly. And they were very friendly people so the interview ran smoothly.
Round: HR Interview Experience: They asked about my family. What does my parents do and why did i choose engineering as a Career option. Why do join my father in his profession. And whether i am ready to work any Where in India or not. The interview was very open and friendly and helped me relaxed and the technical question were very detailed. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
