Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: ITC's shortlisting is highly objective .They look for five main criteria; Academics, Projects/internships, PoRs, Co- curricular activities and sports.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience:  Mostly based on real case scenarios or case studies.
 They mainly look for how you lead the group towards conclusion and your stand on ethical issues.
 They look at the overall personality of every candidate. Communication skills, leadership and behavior in a team etc. are analyzed.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Basic knowledge of the core and ability to mix up with the company's work culture is sought

General Tips: ITC has a fixed structure for shortlisting students from the GD round for interviews. It is not just your performance in the GD that matters but also your resume. Each section in your resume/ITC form (namely Academics, Co-curricular activities, Cultural activities, Sports, Positions of Responsibilities, Projects and Internships are given points. So, fill your ITC form as if it were your final resume itself including all the activities you were involved in.
Skill Tips: Being an FMCG company, they don't really look for any specific core electives. It is said that OR can help but you have to be really good at it if you want to project yourself as a person who can fit in for the Supply Chain Management profile.
 Concentrate on selling your intern experience
 A bit of company specific knowledge will help a lot in impressing them and to get an idea what they expect from you

5 Interview Rounds

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: An objective type test with a varied set of questions on biology, coding and other general topics was conducted on the day before the placement day.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: This was a Resume-based Interview. The interviewee was questioned on all the aspects mentioned in the resume.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Second round was based on the courses that one had undertaken. The variety in the course categories was preferred.

General Tips: The company was not particular about any preparation. They informed about the work profile during their PPTs and discussed about what kind of work is being done in the company. The work profile includes going through a set of source codes. Hence an interest towards coding was expected. Apart from that variety in the resume – which reflects the efficiency of a student in different fields – was appreciated and looked forward to by the employers. A basic knowledge about C, C++ or python should be helpful. An interest to learn and adjust to new things was what they were looking at.
Skills: C, C++, Python

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Other Interview
Experience: Most interviews progress depending on what is being highlighted/ stressed by you. Highlight things accordingly in resume and during interviews. My interview was focused on advanced VLSI electives/projects as I highlighted them during the interview and in resume.
Tips: CG cut-off: CG is a factor but nothing rigid above 8 would be useful. Generally long
shortlists are released. Therefore, selection is extremely dependent on interviews.

General Tips: Intel HR Interviews mostly concentrate on ethics. Make sure all replies are ethically correct. Work environment - one of the top 3 best places to work in India. Good employee care.
Note: Sometimes the HR interviews are taken by tech interviewers themselves. There is not always
an independent panel for HR interviews.
