In learning perspective everything is OK. You can improve your knowledge but you won't get project in based on your skills. 80-90% of the projects are support projects. If you are going to join in WIPRO just be ready for that.

...for WILP(wase, wims or vista). Then don't choose WIPRO go to some other company. They are started to giving 75k bonus for freshers, But freshers dont know that they are going to do internship for 5year with stipend of 15k for first year and 23k for last year. Every year 2k will be you increment. Then no PF, no experience certificate because you are student in wipro for 5 years. If you need MTech degree only or you are going to stay in wipro for long time, then you can choose wipro. Otherwise you are wasting 5years in your career. And one more thing they will change ur projects in different different skills in that 5yrs based on requirements, so you wont get proper experience in anything. Eg. first year you will be in java, second and third year is some support project in some tool, like that

After 45 days on bench you won't get any salary. Any account can tag you if you are on bench for indefinite period, without taking interview or without declaring result or with provide you billing , even if it cost you , your salary or the variable pay. Notice period is 3 months but they will release you in 3 days if you are on bench or 45 days if you are on project , but this cost to hard to switch.. Never received the 100% variable pay. No clear rules on promotion and and hike . Received 1 hike in 4 years.

...e our own laptop or use their many years old desktop which don't work properly Salary is very low here with minimum appraisals There is huge discrimination when it comes to promotion managers usually promotes their favourite employees and if you ask any questions regarding this they will send you to other team or to bench

The only positive thing is payout of variable at quarterly .But that is also reduce now.

The bench policy. They don't have project and they dont have money to pay to employee who is more than 45 days bench .

...d in Wipro, Bangalore Location. I like more in wipro is Compensation & Benefits. Whatever Variable Pay in wipro will get 100% if employee is Billable. Ratings also Good on performance basis, no partiality.

Salary components/appraisal, Teammates, Work culture, training, job security, learning everything is fine, but Wipro should promote existing employee on basis of Experience and Rating. Got EC rating(2nd Highest) 2 times and worked almost 3 years in Wipro, but not recognized for promotion. Less experienced employees were joining Wipro on higher designation that was very embarrassing moment. That was the reason to separate from wipro.
