They give work from home is the only perks with Uplers.
Dislikes
- Fake marketing and advertisement over internet.
- very poor salary.
-Work life balance is 0. Sometimes you work for 14hrs in straight go. They make you awake till 2am at night. They just don't care.
- No time for breaks, skipping lunch- you won't even remember you had your meal or not, the work load is terrific so are the managers.
- The managers and superiors are so work driven, they forget humanity sometimes.
Even if you are unwell or admitted in hospital all they will ask you is about Work, and their task assigned to you.
- Just by giving you flexibility to work from home, they just take your soul out of you.
- I would never suggest any fresher or some with 4-5 years of experience to join Uplers.
Permeant Remote Work, Incentive System and 5 Days working. Even in tough situation of Covid-19, employees get salary on time, no salary reduction and 100% Jon Security. Team members and Teal leads are also very supportive.
Only those People are being recognised who extends working hours. Managers do not value the smart work. As senior I have to guide whole the team but never got any appreciation which is a very demotivating. I can't utilize my technical skills. If client appreciates the project, PC and experts gets the credit but If client escalates the project, only developers are responsible for it. Management has introduced quarterly performance meetings instead of appraisal meeting But Those are not problem solving, just a formality.
I joined here as a talent. pros are salary and remote.
Dislikes
not flexible timings. sometimes clients make you overwork. this is more like fulltime as clients want you to work fixed time and fixed shift. worst of both job and freelance worlds.
1. Work From Home
2. Weekend Off, That's great
3. Regular performance catchup
4. In this covid situation - the company has taken care of the individual's salary on time & not reducing the staff, that's wonderful.
5. Company is taking care of the employees through insurance, mental seminar in this pandemic.
6. Incentive system.
1. Appraisal & incentive system - Process/Logic is weird here. - The Management doesn't give the details.
2. There is no salary negotiation at the appraisal meeting. It is strange as well.
3. Incentive system - if everyone gets the same number of projects, how it can justify the capabilities of the individual, - management believes in the balance.
4. Last 2 years, no appraisal meeting conducted with every employee.
5. Open-door policy: On the first/senior level, the solutions are not coming properly then how can we upfront & go the next door, possibly.
6. The company should start taking anonymous employee feedback options, which's beneficial in the team working spirit, currently, its politics & soft cornering the beloved employees.
7. The employee of the month award - is not up to mark as we can see the management is not giving the awards properly to those who are deserving much or not following the actual definition of the EOM.
8. No career growth & opportunities, although showing your best performance, Leads & experts having the biased side here Every team feels this.
Salary is quite good as compared to the other service-based companies.
Work-life balance is good since the job is completely remote-based.
HR and Finance department is very cooperative and supportive.
Good exposure with different tech stack in the ongoing project.
