... was the worst phase of credit suisse history, this was a great place to work. Benifits, compensation, work and company culture were always top of the line. The company did suffer financial and reputation loss since Archegos Capital collapse and closure of prime business and other events that kept the company in negative news. All that lead to restructuring and head count cut was on cards. Still they protected the full time employees to the best they can. Although I and few from my team left voluntarily to avoid risks, no one from my immediate team or knows was laid off from Pune. The directors were confident that they will find suitable roles and they actually did align people to relevant opportunities. I spent just 3 years in credit suisse and I got very attached to my work and my team. Even though I still work for another major global financial company with great culture, nothing beats credit suisse’s work culture and people. The HRs made sure that employee rights were never tossed in the air and leadership made sure that people get good work. Most team mates were there for an average of 8-10 years or longer duration. I fee only the relatively new joiners like me left the company. Anyways now that the entire credit suisse leadership is with UBS I hope UBS can match up the standards set by CS, perhaps they may even raise the bar. I hope to join them back some day.
