There are products for different technology areas and you get exposed to their application to practical problem when interacting with customers. A sense of support from the seniors helps, when required.

Dislikes

The process of appraisal of technical people is based on the sales achieved by their team and it is sometime disapponting when the targets are not met by the colleags in Sales. Also, practice of self-learning is a challenge.

Opprotunity to work on the new technology areas on tools coming from most popular companies lik Mentor, PTC and opportunity to interact with experienced engineers who are customers

Dislikes

Salary increment is fixed by the performance of the sales team. If they fail to reach target, their underperformance affects technical people. Also, the culture of self-training is tough and makes you sometime work on weekend

The company is a marketing-oriented one, focussed on sale of engg, software to industry and power companies. The sales cycle need you to sell the concept before the product which requires good effort. The employee needs to learn fast and face well-informed customer. The remuneration is average but the incentives make up for the deficiency. The management support you in closing deals

Dislikes

The achievement of sales target is very important. You face tough time if you underperform for 2 quarters. Market conditions may not be good everytime.

The team is mostly cooperative. The immediate managers are understanding and supportive. Work culture is fun. Company policies keep tweaking to accommodate growth

A little bit of back biting at equal levels. But that's part of most corporate organisations anyway
