Nothing. Lots of team politics. Doesn't matter you work hard and over time, still you will be getting b and c bands because of the team politics and bcz management wants other ppl to work by luring them with bait in terms of band which is not even proportional to their productivity hoping that they would work. Still ppl Don't work. In a team of 6-7 ppl 2-3 ppl will be doing the work of whole team while rest just give excuses of no knowledge in the problems and that is being accepted by management. There are so many management leaks, just bcz managers and leads doesn't wanna do their job of managing at right time so they also ask ppl to work who already are over burdened. They keep encouraging this careless attitude for the employees not taking responsibility and not delivering work. This is overall very demotivating for ppl who are actually working, honest and responsible. After sometime this kills the motivation of even hardworking employees to work and this cycle of encouraging the attitude to not work continues.

Everything: No bonus No incentives No time to work on enhancing your skills No proper training for handling stuffs No equal work distribution You are expected to forget your family and provide 24*7 support. No appreciation No rewards Hike almost none - 2-4% yearly Even if you are providing extended support and working in other ppl's shift bcz of their lack in learning, you are blamed for not being glued to your phone 24*7 in off time And even then there is no appreciation acknowledgement, rather you are blamed. Ppl eat your credit, asks for help all the time, most of their work is done by spoon feeding from you and even then they go behind your back to your managers completely discrediting you by which the managers even get influenced. No hierarchy followed for learning and senior - junior relationship. Managers keep encouraging no work attitude from juniors and ppl who join team afterwards. They are treaded like babies and never held accountable.

...od only for the people who dont want to grow and learn just like govt employees. But with a twist that your salary will not be incremented OR just 1% for media sake.

Never join this company before and age of 50. No learning, no appraisal, no growth, no team bonding.

Work-Life balance is excellent for most people so a good place for people having a side business apart from their corporate job or people who want to pursue further studies in the near future as they should be able to take time out for personal tasks. Job Security is probably the best in the world. TCS will never fire you unless you commit a very serious breach of security/policy/behaviour. You could delete the production database say (ON ACCIDENT) and would at max be kicked out of the project. Health Insurance Policy is quite good. One of the best in the market. TCS is a company that one should join in the later stages of one's career when you have responsibilities at home, have kids or elderly parents to take care of for e.g. When these things matter more than money, TCS might be the perfect place to settle down.

...nternal examinations, you will be earning meagre amounts even after 10-15 years. Just to give a comparison, your salary after 15 years might still be lesser than a graduate from top IITs/NITs getting into a good product based company as a fresher! Plus the internal promotion programs created by the Talent Development Team (Digital/Innovator cadre etc.) get a new set of T&Cs added each year, giving your management further leverage over your career. TCS is an organization of the managers, for the managers, by the managers. People doing the manual monotonous work are just unmotivated pawns going about their daily life existing. The people who are considered important are those who bring in new business from the client or those who have been clever enough to establish their dependency within their projects. You might be shocked to know that TCS charges clients more per week than it might end up paying you at the end of the month. That's where the profit shares of 9-12K Cr. per qtr come from and it is absolutely dejecting that employees still don't get promoted on time. Promotions don't just depend on you work, they depend on multiple other factors. Let's not bring up the increment %s anyway. TCS was one of the few organizations forcing their workforce to report back to office or just punch in/out for the sake of it. The existing office structure did not have the capability to accomodate the post-covid displaced extra workforce and to then force your employees to come to office just for them to work from pantry area/reception/cramped up shared spaces made no sense to me. Think about the quality of work one could do in such an environment. I have seen people sit on window sills, make tables out of storage cabinets and what not just to have to work from office. TCS was one the best places to land onsite opportunities but that is a thing of the past. With the current western economies and internal policies, it is not as easy for you to land an onsite opportunity as quickly as your seniors might have been able to do 5-10 years ago. Plus, these things involve a lot of variables to align in your favour which can tumble anytime. HRs, RMGs and managers hardly care about skillsets/preferences and you can be forcefully allocated to any project. HRs are excellent are turning a deaf ear to your aspirations/expectations and managers have all the power to control the direction of your career. Half the people are lied to by PMs and are allocated to support/operations projects after being told that they will get to work on core development and as freshers, 99% people have no clue about all these things. Night Shift Allowances in support/operations are some of the worst in the industry. The job security and work-life balance will slowly mold you into a sheep happy with mediocrity! If you can navigate your way though all the variables/luck/politics and become an international sheep (preferably in North America/Europe/Middle East/Oceania) then TCS might turn out to be the right choice for you as it will provide you with an avenue to earn in much stronger currencies and further convert that into PRs without the burden of heavy educational loans. If not... :)

...etc (atleast in my location) and no one takes proper action in these matters. 9. Poor band system and it's effect on salary, if someone clears wings 1 he doesn't get enhancement in base pay but gets digital pay as incentive which is on band condition means poor band can cutoff the increment.

Variety of Projects including Dev and Support. Balanced Work and Life. There is a lot of opportunities to learn from Courses and Learning and Dev platform like Frescoplay.

Dislikes

...u have less Experience. If you get a Dev project, its your Luck and Experience. I was promised a Joining bonus , but didn't get that. There is no regular Promotions even when you had done good work, depends upon Market.
