Good Company to work from with Ample of opportunities. One can reject N number of projects if he or she is not getting the desired one. Unlike other service based companies you can be on bench for some time to select a proper project for yourself by rejecting many. This option is not available with other service based companies where you have to find a project quickly once getting released. Best Company if you want to go to onshore across the Globe.Once you acquired the right demanding skillset then you would have onshore opportunities for multiple geographies. But in case you just want to work from India and don't want to Travel to onshore then the company is not providing good enough Hikes to stay..In case you want to be in india better switch to other companies as here the average hikes would in in Single digit that too at lower end. In case you want to join the company so it is advisable if come after 3 to 4 Job switches as TCS dnt take its X employees back. So better roam outside in all companies and join TCS at mid and Later part of the Career.. TCS has the Best Health Insurance coverage where other services based companies give 80% coverage and employee have to put some percentage from pocket Here it is 100% medical coverage..

Very stingy management Employees get only salary but no goodies, team lunches or sponsored celebrations. Laptops given are poor in condition to many and warranty of the laptops are not tracked properly. Employees are forced to pay for any damage even for a 2 year old laptop

Likes

Collegues, and company cultyre of TCS should be the benchmark in IT sector. And there is always to learn something, from collegues, management, or by ourselves. Job security is excellent.

Dislikes

Salary and benefits doesn't do any good, as per industry standards. Appraisals and peomotions also at mercy of managers only.

...dedicated team within the projects ( even projects as large as with 300 people). Quarterly bonus is almost certain to be zero at 12+ yr experience levels. Old school mentality still exists in TCS, where wearing Jeans is a crime on weekdays. Male employees still do not get official paternity leave ( when needed they apply other available leaves)

Dislikes

...rs are like arrogant bosses, they cannot toleryone word against their decisions. Quarterly bonus is virtually non existent at 13+ yr experience levels

Good work culture ( if one does not want to work ). One can spend complete career without working. One can deny work by telling lack of bandwidth or lack of experience. TCS has tie up with most training platforms so one learn a lot. If you have good relation with seniors then chances are there for onsite oppurtunity.

Dislikes

No appreciation for project work completion and hardly any promotion or salary hike. Every project manager amd partner will give a ladoo of onsite oppurtunity to everyone in the project to motivate as they are helpless due to low pay and low yearly appreciation of associates. TCS is mostly concentrated on AMS and BAU projects so chances are less to get a role in consulting or implementation project. ( its mostly like tata customer service) No mapping of career aspiration, skillset or education qualification. Senior are mostly concerned about incoming revenue and will tag to any project as long as revenue from client is coming. Getting out of project one does not like is very difficult without proper connection or if the project does not finish. No proper training before onboading, Partners try to skill associates on clients resources after onboarding to save money.
