Yearly hike is very less, no any extra benefits other than salary, package must be revised/revaluate as per market on timely basis. No transparency at a time of promotion.
The job security which we are getting in this company will not be there in any other company. That's guarantee.

...od hike. Maximum hike company can give around 8 or 10% even if you get a A Band. I have worked around 3 years and the differences in my salary happen between this 3 years is Round 80k totally in CTC. But in this place rest of the company will pay you good % of hike. Even if you are eligible for promotion you will not get it until management push it for you. I have waited for the promotion around 1 year and they didn't give and due to this reason I put resignation then they are ready to give. That's the situation.
It's nice experience to work here. One can develop skill as he want as lots of activities regarding to enhance your skill is going on. It is not in terms of only your professional konwledge but in other activies also. A lot experience depend upon your project. Worked with different different project also enhance your exposure.
Here I am not happy with appraisal procedure. Salary hike is minimal.

If you are fresher even if you get low salary as compared to other job opportunity will suggest to take job in startup with less salary rather then in tcs as over a period of three years you will be earning more because of the skills you will learn in startup culture and switch you make but in tcs your salary will never increase.
Salary growth and increment is even less then inflation so technically your salary is decreasing every year. Promotion is completely based on seniority. So don't expect that if you are working hard you will get promotion.
Join at mid level at higher package as growth is limited comparison to start up but as per Indian IT Industry, it is very good. If no other offer in hand then join TCS otherwise go to some other company and then later on join TCS and settle here. Best health insurance amongst any company in India.
Financial growth is slow, juniors do most work, as you grow the work related to manage things increase, hence you get away from technology slowly and market relevancy diminishes.
