... like Saibal Mazumdar will not allow him to do anything.
Work culture is toxic.
They will get their work from u but at the time of appraisal they dont raise salary.
If u take 1 and half days of sick leaves ur manager will stalk u on the order of ur reporting manager which is offensive.
Generally ur appraisal meeting is with ur manager and u but here they keep the appraisal meeting with ur immediate manager, team lead and other peoples. Which is humiliating.
Here peoples dont want to teach u anything and if u ask them anything the reply u will get always is that nobody has taught us why will we teach u.
The people not only their thinking is orthodox they even behave like that also.
The people dont trust you and will see for each and every moment where they can boss u.
This all make u demotivated and humiliated.
Even if u dont believe me then and want to come to the Jamshedpur then try not to come to the TDCV team.
The overall work culture is good and people in my team belonged to different geographies which was a good exposure. The training provided to me was proper and professional.
As a contractual employee, salary is the factor which will not grow at all. I worked for this company for 2 years and I only got assurances everytime that I'll be taken on payroll. Even after putting my resignation, I only got assurance that payroll process will start in 2 months and the management asked me to take back my resignation. Well, employees don't need assurances after putting resignation. The only time when I spoke to my manager was after my resignation, so there's no recognition of individual's strength and contribution.
It's a bad organization. They will cut every corner they can to from your money. Variables are 10% but almost never paid. In over 5 years got 30% total hike and 10% of that is Variable. Appraisal cycle keep on changing... Always try to push 1 or 2 months. From pune office they fired 400 employees in early 2021 and also not paid salary to them for 7 months, all in name of corona. Managers do consider Saturday as working and may ask you to work on Sundays as well.
...vironment. Almost no IT feeling. Politics and groupisim is heavy on performance. They do not increase salaand the moment you resign they have possibility to pay 50-60% more.
Since it's a Tata company, you will have job security like no other company if you are in a permanent role.
Work life balance is very good and if you are at Pune location, food and commute to office is free.
Timings are also flexible and so is your role. As a GET you can get into whatever role you want to get into company and make a career out of it.
Job security is something in TTL that anyone can be sure of but the salary/appraisal will always be a concern irrespective of any position or profile. Learning at TTL depends on what kind of project you are in, so it varies drastically according to that.
You will find very good teammates across the organization across the projects and work-life balance is certainly a big positive while working in TTL. Politics is not a big concern, work environment will always be very pleasant.
Compensation is decent, but growth is slow.
I do receive appreciation emails from my client, but they mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. Also, there is no on-job training for freshers, hence senior folks like me have to guide them step-by-step, which is a big pain sometimes.
Most of the projects are the support projects. Until and unless the heavy crunch will be there in terms of vacancy in the development project, you will never be able to shift from support project to development project.
