Favouritism, lack of competitive compensation, poor overtime allowances compared to other product based companies. Old isn't gold here 🙂

Likes

Great place to work in terms of friendly work environment, understanding management team and great career opportunities. I'm working in Talend India for 5 years now and have gone through 2 promotions, great varied opportunities to learn and explore global set up.

Dislikes

Not particularly dislike, but with recent acquisition of Qlik, we are waiting to see how things pan out. As of now, at a global level, this looks to be a great news creating a new combined leader in the industry. But at individual level, we will have to see how the new set up looks like.

Likes

Mostly Remote or at offshore Customer place as they do not have proper office premises to accommodate. One floor small rental place is there but not sufficient.

Dislikes

Company mostly work as transactional like local grocery shop. Senior HR Manager is pathetic and major focus on IN-OUT timing from Office who is report to office. PS director is a checklist manager and have no say in the organization. High level of micro management. No confirmed assignment. And all is independent contributor and no support from teams or community. So any customer anger has to face by respective employee and answerable. No Senior support. No promotion and negligible (2-5%) increment. 3rd party payroll processing unit always did the mistakes in appropriate tax calculation and if not noticed and chase up with them, you are ending up loosing your hard money and no support from HR or organization. Firing is very high. kick you out anytime after 1 or 2 escalation or concern from customer. never recommending to anyone.

The good part was that everyone was helping and friendly. Earlier it had amazing growth potential between years 2018-2022 until everything was mess.

Dislikes

After being acquired by Qlik and alot has changed. The rewards and recognition stopped along with no technical growth as the training program at Talend for new/experienced employees is not great and the technology is also very old compared to the market trend of today.
