Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

...h this organization. The management and CEO failed to deliver on their promises. Initially, a salary of 2.4 LPA was offered, but after joining, only 15k per month was provided. Even after completing the probation period, the promised salary adjustment to 2.4 LPA never occurred, and they continue to pay only 15k. The company’s facilities are substandard, resembling rented rooms or a lodge rather than a professional workspace. Rooms and washrooms are not cleaned regularly, making it difficult to feel comfortable or adjusted in this environment. Each month, when the salary is due, management behaves in a toxic and rude manner, often finding minor faults to justify delays. They also show a lack of empathy, failing to understand or support employees dealing with personal issues. This lack of professionalism, combined with poor communication and unsatisfactory work conditions, makes it hard to recommend this organization to others.
