...dia. I was a union leader and had an excellent rapo and maintained excellent HR. Though we bankers serve all from top to bottom and give all loan facilities and pay salaries pensions to all but govt never recognised our services and pay structure compared very less. With lot of tensions due to financial dealings we face lot of problems with customers as they feel that we are surviving with their deposits and loans and these public never questions people in corrupt govt depts but waits very patiently for hours after paying hefty bribes. Lot of political involvement by way of waiver of loans and pressure and influence loans to big players at the highest level and poor employees at lover are being made scape goats. As there is better team work at lower levels the atmosphere is going on smoothly.
Now a days banking sector is getting deviated to do insurance at any cost thus hampering the very nature of banking business just for the sake of high commissions. Taking advantage of loan sanctioning they are compelling customers to go for insurance thus making employees vulnerable to the wrath of politicians and customers. Transferability for every three years is the biggest drawback as the Bank people cannot be stable
Nothing to like really. You just get stuck in doing monotonous job

...erable. Asking to not come on a public holiday leads to targetting by your boss. No compensation for working on holidays. One has to work for 10-12 hours Monday to Saturday. You are asked to do work outside bank guidelines and no risk allowance/security assurance is given.
Working at SBI is great satisfaction which comes with job security and Salary and other benefits. working in diffrent roles gives knowledge in overall banking sector
There is no work life balance . Lot of work pressure and no sympathy towards staff. Frequent transfers to diffrent locations and high pressure of achieving targets
