Need Advice: Stuck in Career Due to BGV Issue 😐
Hi connections, I need help with a career hurdle. I graduated in 2020 (COVID delayed exams), had a campus offer from an IT firm but joined Byju’s as a BDA trainee, because my final exams got delayed and the IT firm was about to revoke the offer as it was already one year they provided the offer. When my final exams were announced, I asked Byju’s for time off, but they asked me to resign. I worked only 10 days, and they didn’t provide any relieving/experience letter. I later joined my IT offer, completed smooth BGV, and built 4+ years of experience in data science. Now, while trying to switch, companies flag my UAN history with Byju’s and ask for documents I don’t have. I did get a mail from HR stating they can’t issue letters—but companies don’t accept it. Honestly, I didn’t know this would cause issues back then. Now, I feel stuck. If anyone has faced this or can guide me, please help.

1. No work life balance 2. No growth opportunity - you have to be a visible person in office to get promoted as most incompetent people gets promoted here. Too much favoritsm. 3. Some managers make your life hell. I had to take a walkthrough call with the client in US at 1:30AM because our managers were not satisfied with the screenshots that the team captured initially during walkthroughs. In busy season your life is in hell. 4. Too much work pressure - For the busy season in 2025, employees were working for 15 hours for 7 months and when asked the management responded every one is working. 5. Project management is terrible. You'll be working mostly under 3-4 managers and every manager wants their work to be priotised. 6. Then they will cry on your utilisation and timesheet compliances. If your hours are not alloted properly by your manager - then it's your fault and if your utilisation is below 100% overall then also it's your fault.

If you are an engineer and looking for development role then please don't join this company. They will make false promises in the interview that they have these development projects and gets you excited. I joined the org after that and then for 1 year I was getting calls for audit related projects only whis mentally frustrating as it involves only excel work and they have this utilisation index that has to be to above 85% so basically you have to choose those audit projects to maintain you utilisation above 85% else no promotion and they might put you on pip even if ur utilisation is good. So no learning here, toxic managers and they don't have any knowledge of the technical fields so you have to do their work too. Overall if you're an engineer don't know about the other fields please don't join this company cuz they have nothing technical unless you want to do excel work and work on the weekends and copy paste kinda work and the list goes on and on and want to make your life hell 😂
