Frequent transfers to remote villages create hell lot of family problems and other problems as well. Banking sector has hell lot of corruption and you will feel very insecure if you are moral.

decent salary and perks but still less than Central Governments employees

Undue pressure is put on us for target completion with staff shortage. Apart from this we have to deal with throttling compliance policies which makes even simple work cumbersome and difficult. There are so many portals for complaints and we are always on our toes.

It is the second largest Public Sector Lender & the name PNB carries that weightage. Job is not that much stressful.Compensation & benefits are at par or better than any other Public Sector Bank on every parameter.

Dislikes

At senior position, transferability from one place to other. However this challege is there with every public sector bank

...retirees which were more in the 1980. Pensions have not been updated since 1995. All employees/ retirees have demanded the same benefits as per Central Pay Commission recommendations on salary revision of Central Govt. Employees/ Retirees.
