...low self proclaimed so called best HR practices. But ground reality is opposite. They recently started hiring lateral experienced engineers in low level giving low salary but make them work every possible way.

Your department very well expections EDC . Your reporting boss awesome. Fully enjoy during training more chances to learn about plant. EDC department means only on work. No matter what is your branch.

...d both nature person. It's mind set to work any time for NTPC limited company. Mk Gupta's nature 8000₹ tranning stipen = mk Gupta salary so tranning has more work load and always fear to poor response on tranning certificate.

...gement is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

You can learn a lot in your initial career & can get a handsome salary but as you will proceed further in your career you will eventually end up in a monotonous job especially in operation; where you will feel stress without any reason. There is a great disparity in work culture and type of work in different sections of the organization. Transfers in the organization are utterly poor, and some locations are exceptionally worst and you won't be able to find a good medical service.

Dislikes

Very few have a sense of ownership, stagnation, an appraisal is not linked with your performance, the work environment was good but now worst, no one talks about innovation, work-life balance is worst in operation, worse in O&M, and superb in Non-O&M. A career in NTPC & BHEL is not promising.

... office.There is a feeling of mini India culture in NTPC work site & town ship.Salary with perks is upto satisfaction & requirement. Appraisal system for career growth is erratic & not based on past record.

Appraisal system for career growth is erratic & it's repeating for a few susequent times which is not acceptable. Devoted with heart & soul for the organisation as being an executive trainee of the mother organisation.
