Appraisal, increments are low, your salary will not match the competition if you stick around longer. But HR won't hesitate to pay as per the demands if you are joining from outside. So staying loyal is not reaping any benefits.

... was fantastic and I will always cherish & recommend this firm blindly. Pros, 1. Best in class insurance policy with zero co-pay which covers parents and in-laws with very minimal premium and I can bet no firm will be able to provide the same kind of insurance policy. 2. Shift allowance is cake on a cherry compare to Peers especially for US shifts. 3. Nomura is an employee oriented firm and who tries to take of employees as much as possible. 4. Provides Centralized AC bus service free of cost for people working in general shift and also centralized pick up for people working in EMEA hours. 5. Nomura Powai office is not less than a 5-Star Hotel with all high class amenities inclusive of desktops and chairs for your day2day BAU. 6. Nomura will always assist and guide you if you are keen to learn new things 7. Canteen service is available at Subsidized rates.

Despite of so many prons it has list of cons which requires improvement. 1. Promotion Cycle is mainly basis on tenure hardly people achieve promotion basis on upfront skills. 2. Increment and Bonus is low compare to Peer firms because the firm financial statement is not so strong 3. In the Initial Six months of joining you to go through 3-4 written assessment related to investment bank irrespective to your process and if you failed even after 2-3 attempts you can be fired as well. 4. Decision making process and applications are outdated but the systems are high class. 5. In some process people are working right form LEHMAN Brothers so they have high class of attitude they fee nomura is working because of them and they show their tantrums to new joiners. 6. You will be recognized only if you have good relations with onshore or you are a old member of the team.
