RBS has a set of culture and work ethics which rarely any company has, as the name is royal, except the compensation, everything is royal. The work life, flexibility, people, management etc. To start a career, the organisation is a great start I must say.

Dislikes

Even being a renowned UK based Bank, the organisation has very less amount of pay scale for its employee, including bonus which is ridiculously low, as the increment is less, slow is also the growth, RBS is only good to provide a decent corporate experience and stable work life.

Likes

The environment is very friendly and it's very accommodating especially for women. There is good work life.

Dislikes

The pay and hike is a bit low compared to the market for certain units. And it only offers one way cab.

-> Pleasant work life balance -> Lots of learning opportunities -> Provides good number of leaves.

Dislikes

-> Lack of opportunity of advancement, low bonus. -> NatWest technology India is a company with strong culture of Hierarchy, which can be seen in the way teams are structured and managed. This leads to a sense of distance between managers and employees and makes it difficult for employees to feel comfortable speaking up or sharing their ideas. -> There have been reports of racist treatment from managers of southern India towards their collogues from northern India, particularly in technology teams based in Bangalore and Chennai. This creates hostile work environment. -> While HR claims to be committed to gender equality and providing opportunities for employees to speak up, whistle blowers are reported being targeted or sidelined. This shows real gap between HR policy and practice, and that employees may not feel comfortable reporting misconduct or discrimination.

Likes

Culture in Risk team is great. Good work life balance, management looks to ensure job security to employees and take care to organise knowledge sessions centrally.

Likes

natwest is a great company for freshers, you can get a lot to learn here, people are really nice and genuine, managers and PLs are also really helpful. One can expect a good time in this company. Lots of learning and training sessions. Good infrastructure.

Dislikes

the only thing that i dislike about natwest is they pay very less. no matter how good you are they only pay the standard amount of appraisal, which is quite disheartening. Politics is there, you can't mess up with the higher management if you want to grow within the company.
