In the particular office I worked in, there was diversity of talent and energy in people as it was a new setup. It was a bit mad due to so many different backgrounds, but it was easy to get more done from same number of people due to this vibrancy and have new ideas. We had an office leadership who made sincere attempts to bridge the old LnT 'compliance to seniors' culture with a new 'argumentative and vibrant juniors' world.

Dislikes

...11-12 hours every day (no OT) to set up the office as team lead and then HOD. L&T S&L did offer me a position with same pay at new location (which is a LOSS) but that was it. They qualify as bad employers to me for making employees face such severe financial loss for THEIR OWN inability to sustain an office at a location! Also, they had archaic 6 day weeks, no OT.

Compensation Structure, Alternate Saturday working. Promotion criteria and internal politics

There is so many training facility. Employee benefit / facility is better in respect to other company and it is also good for one who wants to be involved long time with L & T-S & L.

Dislikes

(1)There is a difference between the committed CTC (as per appointment letter) and actual salary in hand. Because there are so many hidden rules, accordingly the net salary is become too less after deducting that type of hidden cost. (2) There is no any large scale project. So that there is no any job security for most of the employee. In this situation, many employee try to relocate to another company for the stability. (3) Regarding the leave , there is suffix and prefix system, that's why the employee who came from different state , have to face problem. As per company's rules and regulation, PL (Privealage leave) will be evaluated depending on basic salary but LOP (Loss of pay ) will be calculated depending on gross salary. (4) Most of the person who hold senior level or management post , may say to improve or build the the new one for facilitating the present and upcoming project but they can not accept the built up or newly one system even after getting approval with validation. (5) In office culture, it is clearly appeared that there is difference w.r.t behavior and provided adjustable facility between two Gujarati and between one Gujarati & one from other community or coming from other state. (6) There is almost negligible increment w.r.t the other company. (7) There is so many diplomatic character and environment rather than the actual involvement for project and further growth of the company.

This company doesn't only stick with one type of project execution but also allows you to learn from all different type of projects.

Dislikes

Employee benefits are limited. No WFH even in case of emergencies. No flexible timing.

Process Oriented Systematic work, Supportive and well Qualified Staff, Provides Equal Opportunity to all, flexible recess (lunch) timings.

Dislikes

Strict Office timings with almost no flexibility. Salary/remuneration not at par with other industry players, Appraisal process not accurate, follows bell curve.
