...y don't run by ethics but go by boss's advise only 2. Appraisal is very bad. 3. Salary str is bad. People with same age base working in other lower profile companies earn more than us 4. Difference of Salary w.r.t. Ratings is very high. Rating is decided by Boss's wish 5. Treatment of site engineers is bad. Culture has become very bad. 6. Less Motivation to continue. 7. No strict work time , Not flexible also. In Time is fixed, Out time is based on requirement.

1. Ample opportunity provided for learning & personality development. 2. Salary is credited on 28th of every month or the day before (in case 28th is not working day) irrespective of the business scenario. No one needs to worry for same. 3. Good exposure to deal with well reputed clients, consultants, sub vendors / contractors and their experienced & qualified officials. 4. Supportive and always cooperative colleagues who help to achieve targets. 5. Well reputation of L&T brand in the market which helps to approach at any level of the clients, consultants & partner companies.

1. Appraisal process is not at all transparent and everything right from the basic salary, benefits, promotion, salary hikes, variable pay and even co. sponsored training & higher education opportunities are dependent on this appraisal process. This creates huge difference in CTC between two persons of same cadre. 2. There is no role of HR dept. in the appraisal process, only the ratings by superiors are sole deciders in this appraisal process. 3. No discussion happens with the employee in this whole appraisal process and no feedback given to the employee for improvement after this process is completed. 4. Salary & remuneration packages are very low compared to the market. 5. No appreciation / reward is given for good contribution to the business. Persons who closely and directly interact with the senior management, those only get appreciated. Contribution of others and the entire team remain hidden. 6. Majority of the seniors play the role of only boss, not the leaders, who takes the credit of success, but not ready to accept the accountability of failures. 7. Decision making needs to be much faster. 8. No sub ordinate to delegate works effectively and focus on important & decisive works to achieve the end results. 9. Even after working for no. years in this co., specialized skills are not competently developed compared to same role in other companies. 10. No work life balance due to huge work pressure (even on holidays sometimes). 11. No role clarity of individuals among the team. 12. In time is very strict, even leaves are deducted for late attendence. But no certainty of out time.

In MMH we are getting liberty of taking responsibility and can do the job with full satisfaction. We are also developing new kind of machine in our day to day activity which enhances our job satisfaction. Due to recent surge in job, we are under tremendous job pressure but happy to take that pressure. Some additional manpower is required to overcome this.

Dislikes

Discrimination in salary structure between the employee of same grade causing demotivation. Some good talented employee are leaving L&T due to poor salary structure. Performance rating are based on bell curve for which some deserving employee vital performer in every year. Although they deserves top performer but not getting the top performer due to last year rating and % limitation of 6 rating in a particular tier.

salary increment value is very less (even less than yearly inflation rate), Reduced PLR, wide salary difference between low & high rated staffs, Preference on some engineers for assigning jobs even he is overloaded. Ill-treatment by some senior members to junior collegues is just unbearable. This propagates similar bad feeling and hatred to fellow colleagues down the line. Work must be combined with good behavior, sweet words, proper respectful interaction, love and affection. Productivity and motivation will then shoot up automatically. Improper rating of junior colleagues (for some cases).
