IBM to KPMG, Should i make a switch
I am currently working as a delivery consultant in IBM(1YOE), which is a technical role and i want to make a switch into a non-tech Consulting centric role and have an offer from KPMG as an analyst, the salary hike is not significant but I want to make a strong profile for making it into management consulting firm later on in my life, should I be making a switch, or wait for any better opportunity as the growth in IBM is very slow and takes time.

I guess there's nothing to like about the company except for it being a Big 4.

Dislikes

... isn't good. People aren't understanding and keep pushing for unnecessary stuff. In the least salary being offered, you are expected to pay for your transportation too. I wish it wasn't this way here. No good benefit along with minimal salary range.

Dislikes

.... MBA finance/Mcom graduates don't have value when it comes to growth/promotion. Pay is below average for current industry standards. Have to work on Saturdays or even Sundays (depending on team) during seasons.

...gement is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

The convenient bus service, the free lunches, and the amazing co-workers.

Dislikes

The workload is heavy, the hours are long and the salary is low. They do not care about employees, only about their work and targets. They even ask employees to postpone and reduce their lunch breaks.
