Branch banking is worst in icici bank. Targets and lot of work. No support. Salary low. Work culture not good. Job satisfaction worst. One should join only for brand name. Otherwise worst bank to work.

Everything. Some are absconding just because they were not able to perform.

Pay is huge. But life is hard in icici.

Culture is highly toxic. Highly autocratic supervisory and assembly line work routine. Employees are seen as work skippers or lazyheads. Knowledge, information or experience do not matter here. You just need to work like a machine. Office premises resemble a godown with broken chairs, no ventilation with non-functional acs and fans. For the money, employees are expected to drain their physical, mental, personal and emotional well being within the office itself. Worst of all, there is zero chance to learn or even improve your skill(s) because work is highly monotonous and only TAT oriented. No importance given to quality or good performance.

Overall the organisation in terms of salary structure, Work life balance and promotion appraisal is better than any other existing Bank.

Dislikes

The organization is certainly not meant for employees who are novice in the banking field. The training and helping environment is not at all good.

1)After office time I am not received any office call from my seniors. 2)WebEx not happening in frequently. 3)I get more space to work freely in my department. 4)Get holidays on time as well as leave with out any questions from seniors.

1) Bank credit policy. 2) Low Salary structure 3) Delay to proceed customer request. 4) Top management support.

....Work life balance is good for me as we don't have too much pressure and stress. Salary and other benefits are also good. There is no appraisal system, therefore no leg pulling or working in silos is there which is very important for big organisation especially established banks. This very boon also have some cons like there are fixed increament at annual level which are close to 9% at mid management level and 4-5% at leadership levels. Additionally, the promotion happens in every 3 yrs(which is fixed based on your work experience and education level) till you reach leadership level and with each promotion you get salary hike of around 25% and from CM1 level you start to get Esops as well. Furthermore, there are fixed working hours from 9:15-5:15 for me and strictly no work from home policy. You have to be present physically everyday at ofc. Overall company culture is good like other corporates. In branch level things and experience might defer. Overall in my opinion better than other indian banks.
