People from premier colleges are given a higher salary and a better designation ensuring that they are starting their career from a better place than their peers from non-premier colleges. And finally, the company provides excellent job security. It is very hard to get fired from the company. Non-performing employees simply get transferred to another role.

There are many downsides to working at ICICI but I must point out that this review is written by someone who's specialization in MBA was finance and whose UG was in information technology. Most of what I disliked about this job was linked to the unsuitability of my profile with the role I was given. I was offered a sales cum customer support profile. This had nothing to do with finance and very little to do with tech. Coming from a premier B school and having good grades, I felt that my degrees and hard work during college was being wasted. It didn't help that others with the same role as me only had a bachelor's degree (a lot of the time in arts). ICICI will not match your profile to your role. This motivated me to quit the job early on. Secondly, there is a very high attrition rate. This means that you'll have to make new friends every other day. The reason for this attrition is the high pressure environment. You are asked to sell multiple products and even your managers know that this is impossible. And finally, in my opinion the job was unethical. I did not like forcing products that were not very useful to customers on them just to meet targets. Some of my employees even had to lie to make sales. The managers always yell at their charges if they don't meet targets with the worst possible language which is something I saw for the very first time in this company.

...at ICICI, your job security is safe until you yourself decide to move out of it. It's a good place to work if you desire is to get good salary and career growth despite of pressure.

Dislikes

Work life balance would be the major drawback working with ICICI. One has to run for business all day and every day to be able to handle the amount of pressure that each branch faces on the sales perspective. I would suggest to know in-depth of the role you are offered, prior siging for it.

Overall company is good except salary what they’ll are providing to employees.

There is no value of your post education after job. Even if you upgrade in educating yourself and upgrading your skills . The bank won’t give a value to that . Your growth will be done on the basis of time that you have spent in the company.

Work culture is good respect to other organisations . People are helpful work pressure can be handled easily seniors are helpful

Salary growth is slow but it was as per industry standards so can’t complain more on that

No provision of overtime or a heavy workload to be completed by end of the day.

Salary is the lowest in any industry. Total wastage of resources by employing students from top tier MBA universities for a salesperson's job. No learning from the job. It's just a regular 9-6 job where you've to keep calling the customers and pitch them the products and beg them to buy.
