I have been with the bank for more than a decade and happy with work life balance here.

Dislikes

The only drawback I have faced and facing is the compensation of pay. This is not as per market which the management says it’s on par. However I think their pay is as per market not the employees ☹️

Likes

1. Very good Leaves policy. You will get 44 leaves in a year. 2. Very good medical coverage of 8 lakhs 3. As it is captive there is no client. 4. There is learning allowance of 4000 points which can be used to buy books. They reimburse generally all certifications.

Dislikes

1. Poor salary hike. 2. Will stick to particular role and technology for longer time. Promotions will depend on available positions in your department.

Likes

It's good to be part of HSBC. The job security is high but you have to compromise on Pay. Career growth also not that good but people who want to lead Work life balance with less salary n no pressure HSBC is the best option for them.

3 things... Excellent pay master..gr8 work life balance... Although captive but still very dynamic giving lots of learning opportunities

Top management keeps changing.. operating model keeps switching.. over ambitious goals difficult for lot of associates to cope up

If you go to right team then plenty of opportunity to do experiments and high end work. And easy team switches

Dislikes

Promotion and salary growth is too slow. No meritocratic rank ordering. No fairness in pay distribution across band. You might be killing youself at the job and you also might be at low pay but you would never be corrected or even fairly compensated
