Work culture varies from team to team. HSBC is a bureaucratic mess. The management is clueless about what is happening and just throws around the latest buzzwords like a parrot There is a lot of scope to develop your skills and learn as there is no one here who knows anything and you yourself have to take up the initiative to do things

Dislikes

Compensation is poor There are no procedures in place to accomplish things but their feature list is too long, expectations are high and timelines are too tight

... is professionally manages - Company promotes employees for growth within HSBC - Pay scale is good, increments are done on basic pay scale of each employee so you can get hike from 5% to 40% internally - Bonus are fixed till grade 6, from grade 5 your business is in hands of your line manager where good performance absolutely fetch you good bonus

Dislikes

- Team strength mismanagement which led you to take care of multiple roles alone - High pressure and sensitive job, very less chance of error - Not good support from support groups

1. Flexibility in working hours. 2. Plenty Work from home opportunities. 3. Room for grooming and learning. 4. Work Life balance 5. Good policies and many leaves 6. Support , guidance and help from collogues and managers 7. Many Team building activities

Dislikes

1. Hikes are not that appropriate 2. Huge difference is salary of same experienced person as lateral hired person gets tremendous hike as compare to existing employee. 3. All leaves need to be utilized 4. Behind in adopting latest technologies as compare to other banks 5. Continuous changes in strategies, leaders, organization and team structure 6. Layoffs after 3-4 years 7. Budgeting issues 8. No onsite opportunities

Good culture, learning and work environment. Lot of opportunities of land up in right team at right time.

Dislikes

...re is a lot of politics in some areas and management doesn't address our issues. Salary is decent but it depends on how well you represented across management by your leads. On the job new to domain, culture will take time to gel may be someone not used to will feel odd man out or process difference.
