Dislikes

While I understand that salary is an important factor, what I appreciate about working at HCL Technologies goes beyond just the compensation. Additionally, the company provides a strong benefits package, including flexibility with remote work which adds significant value to my overall experience. The total compensation package, including bonuses, benefits, and the work-life balance I enjoy here, makes it a worthwhile experience, even if smaller companies might offer a slightly higher base salary.

- I never had to wear formals to office - My office campus is beautiful, with multiple cafeterias inside - Office campus also has a mini clinic, which is again top notch - Office cab facility is very good - Hybrid working model, many employees are working regularly from home - Multiple extra curricular activities are conducted by company, ranging from dance performance to hobby clubs, there is also awareness and informative sessions for parents - Job is relatively stable, if a project is ramped down, employees are provided opportunities in other projects instead of letting them go - Sec 126 office has a full fledged gym as well as a creche - HCL ID can fetch additional corporate discounts at a few places like Apollo Pharmacy, Samsung website etc - Right outside sec 126 campus main gate, there are tons of options for food

Dislikes

...much of it depends on your reporting manager, and they don't let you go easily - Appraisal ratings and the compensation are not concurrent - Could have given more options in cafeterias for Night shift employees

Management will ask you to work like robot but when compensation has be revised yearly it will give you prices of chunks. No work ethics and human culture. Which needs to work on. HR totally managed by manager. It's a myth that they saying it's employer first company. It's Manager first Company.

...hey gave WFH accessories -6 month. When it comes to distributing bonus - 1 yr. . They can't give 1k to an Indian employee for RT-PCR, but they're OKAY to pay $99 to a employee working in the USA. Double standard organization. . Pure favouritism at the time of joining. They will hire and give a hire profile to an employee with 0 experience on a tool or technology. Rather than giving a justified designation to a experienced personal.

...ning and in return make sure you do not leave the organization for 18-24 months. You will have to pay a hefty amount if you do so. Job is secure. If you're an averge performer, you can stay there for life. you will never be kicked off.

Dislikes

HCL has the worst management. All of them filled with ego, trying always to show you who is the boss. You will never get a good appraisal even if you give your 200% until you're chamcha. There are many exceptions, but most of them are as I described. Now HCL is moving into the shared services model. You will get assigned to 2-3 projects and your life will become hell. I was part of one of such projects and had to work 24 hours sometimes. Still, you will not get appreciated because this is normal as per your manager. Overall experience is, HCL is a good company with bad management.
