...ig4. Nothing special. If you value mental peace, growth then avoid this company. Specifically the GDS office at Bangalore (CBS Unit) it is all about cost cutting, tracking each action to save money and just fulfill the formalities. There is no meaning of what you do here. Also, in this company there is lot of biased feedback as they favour south people and doesn’t like if some north person comes in Team. They will make work culture so toxic. One more great trick played by them is - the shift time is 10 hours (not 9 hours which is everywhere) they will call it giving shift allowance which is 75% than your actual cost of 1 hour (at least in my case) if it was accenture they provide overtime with double payout. And here very smartly EY is paying for 1 hr at very cheap rate
There is nothing positive that seems to be good in EY.

- There is no proper HR support to raise the concern
- IT helpdesk is really useless as majority of them is unaware of things. Still they are at 1980s technology.

Extremely hectic working hours. One might have to work for 18 hours a day.
No diversity in management. The managers only hire based on language and mainly their relatives.
Employees get promoted without any leadership skillset.
I feel very fortunate to work with EY, especially during times when other companies are laying off the employees. EY has taken care of its employees in every aspect. I hope it continues to do so in future.
The salary is very low when compared to other competitors, but in teams, like mine, where I work at any time and also where I work more than 12 hours days, we expect and desire more than just a same salary. Even till now we maintain full productivity. However there’s a lot of office politics, which sometimes are unbearable. I have worked with other teams where EY culture is more evident, but it doesn’t seems to apply to my team. They are much focused on work hours if we fail to reach the target then there is no difference between those who under perform vs those who miss by 1 or 2 percentage. Also if by automation, may chance to less work they won’t considered this factors while giving appraisals they have to concentrate on work hours and this is bitter truth for MNC’s.
They keep bragging about employee wellness while in reality it's all just on papers, they do not even provide gym or other fitness related facilities or reimburse the costs, all the do is invite some expert who will just do the talking on a teams call and at best do se breathing exercises, which I find useless and is just there to tick the employee wellness box in their To do list. There is no work life balance, there are teams which ask to to stretch long hours and there is nothing you can do about it because it's openly written on the appointment letter that you will have to work more than standard working hours when there is a business need.
