It was immense pleasure working. Colleagues were cooperative and salary was good. There was no career growth on my post but it regularly has appraisals and pay rises.

some staff were unprofessional and there was culture of favouritism

Work hours are fixed, good salary

Partiality between permanent and contract doctors. Permanent doctors take multiple leaves , won't do any holiday duties , doesn't even work when in hospital, but nobody questions. Max work is done by contract doctors

ESI Hospital Basaidarapur is one of the best hospital as department of orthopaedics is concerned having great opportunities for learning surgical skills/ medical/ conservative management & patient care for PG students and senior residents. Consultants here are very kind & helpful throughout your journey at this institute . I have done my Post Graduate & Senior Residency from this institute and it played a great role in my career of being a good Surgeon & better human being.

...otice something that can be improved over time & support from department itself. I noticed some issues regarding attendance & salary date which were getting better with time.

Good work environment and culture. Team mates are supportive and the management is transparent.

Dislikes

There is lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues. Salary is recent but career growthis slow. There is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resgin. On the job training is not given to new joinees

There is good balancable job with nice salary and perks.. Work here for a 9 to 4 desk job, Bleak chances of doing any surgery or procedure until you are in esic college. Good for money but not for learning, Decide for yourself
