They need to stop playing dirty politics before start loosing great resources Pay parity issue with favourites getting lot of packages than rest of the folks. Work pressure without any recognition. The culture is slowly moving into cost saving aspects when compared to last and with new India MD. Favoring by location is slowly getting visible. With the knowledge of Bangalore traffic, the office location chosen in Marathalli which is a pain.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
