CBA India team is treated like a vendor. Toxic work culture. Everything is controlled by Sydney team. All important work is owned by Sydney team. India team is given monotonous, clerical kind of work only to make them feel worthless and unproductive. Anyone who tries to take a stand is humiliated in front of the entire team deliberately. No difference in work of a 5 yeo and 15 yeo. You will forget everything you have learnt all your professional life because someone sitting in Sydney decides not to trust your experience and hand you over a document which was created years ago and asks you to follow it line by line. Please save your life and never join this full of crap company. India management’s thought of taking over Sydney team is a distant dream. They need to grow some spine first.

no work-life balance This product-based company in india has worse culture than service-based company Indian management working in this company prefers only those from their region. Whether they work or not, they give all kinds of ratings or promotions quickly. No matter how hard people from other regions work or how many certifications they have, it doesn't matter; at the end, they give negative feedback only. alwasy demotivativation... many sessions conducted on mental health and well-being, but many in management continue to harass their team members. Suggestions to the Management: Since the chapter leads and line managers are engaging in a lot of political games, introduce them to feedback as well, such as 360-degree feedback.

Good pay, which comes with own risk.

Dangerous workplace which is driven by EM and GM, job safety is not there at all. Great Innovation and change management, however, the pace also creates havoc in work workplace where the job they recruited 6 months ago becomes irrelevant and redundant. For Indian sentiment, this company is too low in rank compared to many American and European companies.

Good Work life balance. Salary is competitive and 30% annual bonus on CTC which is usually 55-60% of 30%. 21 yearly annual leaves.

“No job security” i will be straight honest with you. 1) Every Post appraisal cycle (which usually July-June)CBA goes through yearly restructuring. And be ready to to get laid off if your dotted reporting line is in Australia. 2) difficult to get promoted even if you have exceeded expectation rating in you PMP. 3)Data maturity is nowhere in the DNA of CBA. 4)CBA india works like a vendor of CBA Australia which is quite evident.

This company is very good for the people who are fully settled in Bangalore or the native Bengaluru people, especially for women. Work-life balance is well maintained as most of the time you will not have any work. CBA has recently started its existing system migration to the cloud but the pace of the transition is very slow. So if you can make a good rapport with the top brass then you will get the opportunity to work on those technologies. They have Pick up and drop cab service and also shuttle serive 2 times in a day.

...that time what ever the benefits the hiring HR promised most of them were vague. There is huge amount of your CTC will be part of the veriable pay(which they called STVR), 20% of the fixed amount. It is non-negotiable. Also as per the company policy no one will get 100% percent of the STVR. On an avarage you will get maximum 50% of the STVR. CBA is very much confuse about their choice of technology. They are hiring people with very serious designation but eventually the candidate is end with silly excel report. For an example most of the Data engineers in the organisation are just running jobs and monitor them as pert of their daily work. Quality engineers are running same test cases daliy. Most of the people in this org does not have enough work to keep you busy all day.
