Nothing much, it's average service type company with decent salary. But leaves are good. 30 leaves per year in a service company is really commendable.

Dislikes

1. They hire based on prospective projects, and often the projects don't land. And then they have very limited time on bench, hence job security is an issue. 2. Work from office schedule is very strict, there should be some flexibility. 3. No proper employee benefits such as outings or lunches or parties, all they care about is billing. 4. Little too much of micro-management

Likes

Very employee centric company, good pay and perfect for 1-3 years experience people to join. Personally Cognizant has given me a lot. Knowledge, Skills,Culture and helped me to grow

Dislikes

Not much that I have found. Some employees or managers might be little biased but thats completely project wise. Company wise I have no complains.

Work life balance, company culture ,senior support in projects , learning.

Dislikes

Salary and hike is not like other companies.even for new joiners will give good salary but for people who working long time is not promoted and salary also will not be revised even they are well talented.

Likes

1. Salary hike is better than others in the same domain. 2. They invest a lot in providing learning materials so that's a big plus. 3. Communication from upper management is pretty good. 4. Offices are very good.

Dislikes

1. Management is really bad, there is regional preference. 2. Management is mostly very toxic. 3. Middle tier management is really bad.

Likes

There is no company level interaction. They will hire you, once you in no one will interact with you from cognizant side. Full time you have to work with client. No manager interaction , no one is there with you if something happens to you. There is concept of Home manager and business manager, both are there for no reason. They will not help in any case. If you have problem they will hear you once you ping them and no action.What ever you perform in client side even you are best or worst hike will happen on average. No impact of working hard or best performance, your hike will be very average. I prefer NOT TO JOIN THIS COMPANY. They will offer 2-3 lakh extra from market and due to those 2-3 lakh you have to suffer allot. NO JOB SECURITY any time they put you on BENCH and from bench you yourself have to search the project and if not you are fired. To join this company was my worst experience and decision. Please dont join for the sake of extra 2-3 lakh of ctc…

...ant to say DO NOT join this company. You will have to switch again in 1 year. They will give you 2-3 lakh extra and joining bonus also and joining bonus will have 1 year bond. So you will wait for 1 year to leave this company. I want to talk more about this but please stay away. They will not consider your tech stack whole assigning you a project. I was java angular react developer with microservice exp also. If client need you to work on linux or python developer you have to work because you are tagged to client and cognizant will not help you here.
