Salary Expectations
I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The work at Cerner is of immense importance and directly impacts patient care.

Dislikes

1. The salary and compensation are extremely below the market bracket. 2. The management does not provide hikes and promotions to deserving candidates and uses the excuse of the Oracle merger. 3. Even after one obtains the highest performance rating, the hike is the same as the base rating. 4. Even if you discuss this with the management they suggest looking for a job OUTSIDE Cerner if money is important (I don't know any professional for whom money is NOT important). 5. There is less/no scope for learning and development whatsoever. 6. The saddest part of it all is that these issues started in 2019 and went downhill from 2020 (since Covid). Work culture, Care for Employees, Compensation, everything is now completely gone.

Work Culture is good. Clients are friendly and supportive. The leadership in the verticals understand work demand and support as and when required.

Dislikes

You work 8 hrs or 16 hrs / day no wonder, no recognition, no extra pay. Hike and performance review are not good. Fresher's gets paid 50 % more than current employee!!

The mission and goal of the company is very inspiring. Work that matters.

Dislikes

The compensation and benefits are just ridiculously bad. Especially after covid. No promotion They will you the lowest hike even after the BEST performance rating. Its just ridiculous.

Work life balance is great. Depending on the team you will not have much load also. Client facing and its very good.

Career growth is less, based on the team you go , Also pay is average as per outside standards, no additional bonus or benefits. less learning for SE's

Job security and learning opportunities

Dislikes

The Compensation and Benifits are not at all up to the market. To give a better idea, I am getting offers for 200% more than my current salary at Cerner. It is very difficult to live in Bangalore with this salary.
