It's a govt organisation. Hence even though you are on 5 yr contract, you will not be terminated unless you do some criminal activities.

1. Salary as per govt. Mandate but no additional perks of govt. Employee. 2. Promotion extreme slow. They want people to leave so they delay promotion -- trying to save money. 3. Some teams -- no work, some teams -- extreme work and no holiday and bad management . But everyone gets same salary and same appraisals. 4. Very few teams where project is good, but there work load is very high. 5. They keep removing perks and good thing. Previously good food -- now options reduced.

Dislikes

Learning is minimum. Seniors here have minimum brain. Above management is very poor. Work culture is not good. Professionalism is zero. Anytime they can ask you to come.

Dislikes

Developers get least flexibility towards work. Team Leaders, Managers have the trust of senior management but developers don't get that trust. Emergencies are created and told to developers as every day there is an emergency. No work from home and even if you get then you will be told by your reporting manager that he/she should be grateful for this honor of work from home. C-DOT now going from R & D to service sector with very less number to people to actually deal with field.
