Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late into the night. Managers do not value an individuals’ unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestions most of the times.

If you want to work in hell(Narak) ....then welcome in Bridge and Roof Family.But, unfortunately I am also the part of this horrific family of B&R.

...seniors that..If you will not work and earn something from site for the company. Then how will company manage to pay our salary.(Company always facing economical crisis) 10. You can't even easily take your own leave as per your own decision. 11. Some time you will have to work 24hrs or more. Dear friends please don't take me in wrong way(Negative person).This is my personal views about this company.

...ronment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Yes, they are still paying salary to even temporary and contractual staff in this tough time. Being construction engineer, you will be exposed to many new site challenges and activities. You will have to face client, consultant and management pressure at once. All projects are challenging to execute due low quoted rates to grab the project tender & job. Sometimes challenges gets very tough to come out and though B&R get through it.

Dislikes

No innovations and new business. Majorly depends upon construction sites. B&R has huge workshop in howrah but no big scale business taken up at workshop. No new technology machines adopted. Still conventional way of working. No centralized planning dept not quality departments. Even if exists only for name sake. It has got lot of potential but due to internal politics no improvement in industry.

You are always on the edge as far as job security. The senior management team is good, but currently the apex management wants to bring in some drastic changes. Though the company has a policy as most big companies do, implementation in minimal.

Dislikes

...ail one's optimum performance. There's no official offer or appointment letter. The salary scale is much less compared to other institutions.
